Draco sat down at his usual place and packed some food. Then he saw Hermione walk into the Great Hall. She sat down with her back towards Draco. It was almost vacation and a lot of student would go home for Christmas. The first train would leave in two days. Draco was happy that Pansy wouldn't stay at Hogwarts. Then Headmistress McGonagall walked forwards to the statue with the owl.

'Dear Students, as you all know the first train is leaving in two days. If you haven't packed your things yet, maybe you need to start and if you'll stay at school, you can go to Hogsmeade if you'll like. Unless you're a first or second year then you can't go.' McGonagall said.

She said a few other things and then sat back down behind the teachers table.

'Are you sure you're not coming with us?' Ginny asked Hermione who was sitting next to her.

'No, I need to study otherwise I'm never going to pass.' Hermione said.

'If you change your mind you can come you know, mom will have enough food.' Ginny said.

'Oh no I'm not going to, but thanks.' Hermione said smiling.

Hermione stood up after she had finished her breakfast.

'Where are you going?' Ron asked.

'To the library.' Hermione said smiling.

'Could've known it.' Ron said laughing.

Hermione smiled and walked towards the doors of the Great Hall. Then she bumped into someone.

'What on earth, mind your step!' Pansy said angry and then she saw who it was.

'You filthy mudblood!' Pansy said.

'I'm sorry, it was an accident.' Hermione said.

'It was an accident, yeah sure.' Pansy said.

'Leave her alone!' Harry said from the Gryffindor table.

Hermione passed Pansy and ran out of the Great Hall.

Hermione's POV:

I ran towards the Black lake, I wanted to be alone it was just so embarrassing! I felt tears roll over my cheeks. I had been humiliated for almost my whole life and I had been keeping it in for almost my whole life but it looked like everything that I had put away was coming up now. I sat down on the bench by the Black lake. Then I heard someone behind me.

'Just go away!' I said wipping my tears away.

'Hermione?' I heard Draco ask softly.

'Go. Away!' I said.

But he didn't, he came closer and stood in front of me.

'Are you okay?' He asked.

I didn't answer.

'Pansy got detention.' Draco said.

'Hmm.' I said.

Draco put his hand on my cheek and I turned my face towards him. I looked down and he wiped my tears away.

'Don't listen to her.' Draco said.

'And you're saying that?' I said.

'I know I wasn't nice, not at all but that was just...' Draco said.

'That was what?' I asked.

'You wouldn't understand.' Draco said and he looked down.

'If you say so.' I said.
