Something Unexpected (A Dramione Story)

Chapter 15

Hermione woke up the next morning with Draco’s arm around her. After what happened in the middle of the night they fell asleep again after Hermione had calmed Draco down. When Hermione opened her eyes she looked directly at Draco’s face, he was still sleeping. He looked so calm now. Hermione was worried about what happened last night, Draco saw his dad killing her. Could Lucius do that, give Draco a message through a dream or nightmare. No that’s impossible he’s in Azkaban, right? Then Draco opened his eyes.
‘Good morning.’ Hermione said with a little smile.
‘Good morning.’ Draco said smiling.
‘How did you sleep?’ Hermione asked.
‘Terrible and then pretty well.’ Draco said.
‘Where were we… in your dream?’ Hermione asked.
‘In’… Malfoy Manor.’ Draco said.
Hermione nodded.
‘Shall we go to the Great Hall?’ Hermione asked.
‘Yes sure.’ Draco said and they both stepped out of bed.
Hermione walked towards the door but Draco grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him. He hugged her tightly.
‘Thank you, I don’t know what I would’ve done tonight if you I was alone.’ Draco said.
‘It’s okay, you would’ve done the same.’ Hermione said with a smile.
Draco looked in her eyes and smiled.
‘Of course I would’ve.’ Draco said and he kissed her.
They walked towards the Great Hall, when they got there they both went their separate ways to their own table. Hermione sat down next to Harry and in front of Ginny.
‘How was your night?’ Ginny asked smiling.
‘Oh it was fine.’ Hermione said.
‘Sure it was.’ Ginny said laughing.
‘What’s going on here?’ Harry asked confused.
‘She hadn’t come to our room tonight.’ Ginny said laughing.
‘What! Where were you?’ Harry asked.
‘I was somewhere.’ Hermione said with a smile.
‘Can we stop about this?’ Hermione asked and then Ron sat down next to Ginny.
Ron looked at Harry and Harry nodded.
‘Hermione… can I talk to you?’ Ron asked.
‘Yes.’ Hermione said.
‘Here?’ Ron asked.
‘Yes, why not?’ Hermione said.
‘Well I just wanted to say I’m really sorry, I didn’t want to ruin your night and I thought Malfoy was up to something because he always had hated us.’ Ron said.
‘It’s okay Ron.’ Hermione said.
‘Really?’ Ron asked surprised.
‘Yes, but if you’re going to ever ruin a ball for me I’m going to kill you.’ Hermione said with a smile.
‘And I’ll help her.’ Ginny said.
They laughed and ate their breakfast. The owls flew into the Great Hall with the mail.

Draco looked up and an owl dropped a letter on his plate. He looked at the envelop and decided he would read it later. He looked over at the Gryffindor table and saw Hermione laughing. He smiled and then looked back at the letter. He was terrified of what would be standing on the parchment in the envelop. He had an idea who would’ve sent him this letter.

‘Do you want to come with us to Hogsmeade today?’ Ginny asked.
‘No thanks I’m staying here.’ Hermione said with a smile.
‘Are you sure?’ Ron asked.
‘Yes, have fun.’ Hermione said.
She stood up and walked out of the Great Hall. She had to think, she walked out of the castle towards the Black lake. When she got there she saw Luna sitting there.
‘Hello Hermione.’ Luna said smiling.
‘Hee Luna, how are you?’ Hermione asked with a smile.
‘I’m fine, thank you.’ Luna said.
‘What’s bothering you?’ Luna asked.
‘Draco and I slept in the room of requirement this night and in the middle of the night he had a nightmare. He dreamt his dad was using the Cruciatus curse on him and that he… killed me.’ Hermione said.
‘It was just a nightmare.’ Luna said.
‘I said that too but I’m doubting about that, can a person from somewhere else do something to someone’s dream?’ Hermione asked.
‘I don’t know… maybe.’ Luna said.
‘I think you’re talking about Lucius Malfoy who has something to do with Draco’s nightmare.’ Luna said.
‘Yes…’ Hermione said.
‘I won’t bother about that, he can’t hurt Draco or you, he’s in Azkaban.’ Luna said smiling.
‘Thank you Luna.’ Hermione said smiling.
‘No problem.’ Luna said smiling.
Luna stood up and looked at Hermione.
‘I’ll see you later, I’m going with Neville to Hogsmeade.’ Luna said.
‘Have fun.’ Hermione said with a smile.
‘Thank you, you too.’ Luna said and she walked away.
Hermione sat there on the bench for a while and then she heard someone coming closer.

Draco walked through the hallways, he didn’t know what to do with the letter, he was scared of what would stand on the parchment. He walked out of the castle towards the Black lake. When he got there he saw Hermione sitting on the bench. He could’ve known she would be here. Draco walked towards her and sat down next to her. Hermione looked up at him and smiled.
‘Hee.’ She said smiling.
‘What’s wrong?’ She asked concerned.
‘I’ve got this letter…’ Draco said pulling the envelop out of his pocket.
‘What’s standing in it?’ Hermione asked.
‘I don’t know.’ Draco said.
‘Haven’t you read it?’ Hermione asked.
‘No.’ Draco said looking at the envelop.
‘Why?’ Hermione asked.
‘I’m scared to read what is written on the parchment.’ Draco said.
‘It’s okay, here.’ Hermione said and she packed the envelop out of Draco’s hands.
‘We’ll read it together.’ Hermione said and she opened the envelop.
Draco and Hermione looked both at the paper.

Dear Draco,

I got the message of Pansy Parkinson, she saw you kissing miss Granger, that friend of mister Potter. I’m still thankful for what mister Potter did. You know your dad would do horrible things if he knew this. Don’t spread this news around, if the wrong people get to know this not only you will be in danger but also miss Granger. I just wanted to let you know I hope you will be happy with her and that you know I want to meet her son as soon as possible. I love you just remember that.

‘See I told you it was going to be all right.’ Hermione said smiling after she read the letter.
‘Thank you for being there for me.’ Draco said.
‘It’s okay.’ Hermione said smiling and she gave Draco a hug.
Draco smiled and kissed Hermione gently on her lips.
