In the POV of Sapnap, 2 days later
I woke up with Patches laying next to me on the couch and Clay on the other side, peacefully sleeping. We decided to watch a movie last night and we both fell asleep before the half mark. I got up and stretched, yawning in the process and bringing myself to the kitchen. I have been trying to learn how to cook but it still wasn't my forte. I grabbed a bowl from the cupboards and poured in my cereal than milk.
I began to eat, scrolling through my phone when the doxxing account from before showed up in my DMs. It was George and he had sent a long message about it.
We got the account banned and new accounts will be suspended if they're suspicious of the harassment. Wilbur helped out by getting him and a few other people to report them so they'll be on the lookout too. Let Clay forget that the account even exists. It'll make it easier for us to deal with since he so obviously has feelings for Nightmare and that'll get in the way.
I agreed with George and clicked off twitter, going onto reddit to look at possibilites for the upcoming Manhunt we would be doing. Soon, I heard footsteps behind me, turning to see Clay walking towards me.
"So, any plans for today?" I say, trying to strike some conversation.
"Well, I'm going on the SMP to help Nightmare tonight. She isn't streaming and neither am I so it'll be fun," he says, starting to walk towards to fridge.
"Alright. I'll probably end up streaming. In the meantime, want to go out with Tessa? She's been begging for us to drive her somewhere. She even texted me this morning saying that she already finished her school work."
"Fine, fine. Get ready. We'll go to Wawa since I need gas anyways," Clay says, closing the fridge and walking to his room.
"Wawa? You people seem to go there a lot. Let's get gas and go to McDonald's."
"Nick, in all respect, McDonald's food is the worst. They have good fries and that's about it. Wawa's got gas and decent food," Clay shouts.
"Fine! Let's compromise. How about we get food at Shake Shack?" I shout back.
"Alright, let's go then. Text Tessa and get ready please. I need to make a quick call," he shouts once more. I perk my brow up, even if nobody can see me, and pick up my phone. I text Tessa as I walk to my room. I quickly get on some fresh clothes, spraying on cologne as I finish. I finish getting ready and run to Clay's room, being careful of making noise. I perk my ear against the door and listen in on his voice and the girl on the phone. He left it on speaker. What a dumbass.
"You know, I really am thankful for you. You've done so much for me in the past few weeks," the voice says. It seems familiar, like I've heard it once before.
"And I'm thankful for you too. I still can't believe how fast we've gotten close. I find it crazy that I was able to find someone like you so quickly. Nick and George mean lots to me, but it took time for us to get that close. With you, it took little time," Clay said, obviously pouring his heart out. He could only be talking to Nightmare, it was obvious. It warmed my heart though, that he finally found his kind of person.
People always call them "opposites" but I beg to differ. They're actually very similar.
"It did. It's bizarre but things happen for there own reasons," Nightmare says.
"Yeah, and I only hope that they are good reasons. I've got to go but I'll talk tonight for the SMP! See ya!"
"Bye Clay! Talk tonight!"
George needs to know. He has to.
I pull out my phone, quickly texting George before running to the living room, trying to look like I heard nothing. I sit on the couch, praying that Clay has no clue. He walks out and nods his head to the door. We walk out and drive to Tessa's house, singing and yelling to the songs on the radio. We arrive and she runs out the house, waving to Clay's parents and jumping in the car.
"Can we just eat at Wawa? I'm starving and they have better food than Shake Shack," Tessa says as she buckles.
"Ha! I told you Nick! Sure, let's go," Clay says, pulling out of the driveway.
"I guess having no taste runs in the family," I tease. I'm suddenly hit by thousands of insults from the two, laughing as the continue. Like brother, like sister.
"You like Shake Shack over Wawa! That's worse than having no taste after getting COVID." Tessa yells. Soon, we're all laughing til we can't breathe, which is especially dangerous since Clay is designated driver. We pull in and get gas than walk inside, pulling our masks up as we do. We get our food, eat quickly, and go to the car, where Tessa runs and jumps into the driver's seat.
"Go to the back, Tessa. I'm driving," Clay says, stiffling a laugh.
"You had trouble getting us here so let me drive. I've drove with mom and dad before!" Tessa begs.
"Fine, but I get shotgun Sapnap. Move to the back."
"What the hell! We're going to die!" I say, practically yelling. A few people filling their gas look our way. I go to the back, buckle, and watch as Tessa pulls onto the road, clutching anything possible as a means to not die. We begin our way back to Clay's parents house, going at a high of 88mph. We pull into the driveway and she hops out, skipping inside the house. I go to the front seat and Clay goes to the drivers.
"She is never driving my car again," he says, looking shocked.
"Good riddance, I thought I was going to die."
"Don't worry, I thought I was too. Let's just get home and relax."
"Wise words from a man whose decision almost just killed us."
