Chapter Eight

*Friday Morning*

I woke up with no intention of going to school today because I didn't feel like seeing Matt or Hayes before the party so I texted the one player that I could actually stand being around. Taylor. I texted him and asked if he would skip school with me and just hangout till the party and not even twenty minutes later he texted me saying he was waiting outside. I threw on some jean fringe shorts, a red crop top, and red sandals then grabbed my phone and headed outside to his car. Once I got in I leaned over and gave him a peck on the lips.

Me- Thanks for picking me up and skipping with me.

T- No problem babe. He smiled.

He drove us back to his house and once we got there we went inside and up to his room to hangout for the day. At the moment we were watching a movie and cuddling as we laid on his bed when I finally looked up asked him the one thing I really wanted to know.

Me- Is there a possible way for the game to end before someone wins?

T- Yeah if a player resigns then the game is completely over.

Me- Tay why are you involved in this?

T- What do you mean? He said as he looked down at me.

Me- The games, why are you in all this when it's nothing like you?

T- I guess I just really didn't speak up and I went along with all of it when they had created the game. I never really thought about the whole thing until it had actually been put into play.

Taylor was honestly one of the sweetest guys I've ever meet once you really get to know him. After that little conversation we continued watching the movie and fooled around a little bit when it was over until it was time to get ready.

Both of us were gonna get ready at my house so we put our clothes back on and Taylor grabbed his outfit for the party then we went back to my house. It was only around five when we got back and I went directly upstairs and took a shower. I washed my hair and body then shaved my legs and under my arms before stepping out. I walked out of my bathroom in my bra and panties and went directly to my closet to pick out my outfit. I decided on my short black lace dress that stopped right under my butt, teal strappy heels, and a black and silver heart ring. Once I got dressed I went back into my bathroom and curled my hair then pinned two pieces back, for my makeup I did a silver smokey eye with winged eyeliner, mascara, and nude lipstick. I examined myself in my full length mirror and was satisfied with my work, I grabbed my phone then made my way downstairs to see Taylor sitting on the couch on his phone. He was wearing a gray pullover with the sleeves pushed up, jeans, black vans, and a white beanie. When he heard the clicking of my heels on the wooden staircase he stood up and scanned me from head to toe.

T- You look amazing. He said as he pulled me into him.

Me- Thanks I could say the same about yourself. I smirked.

We left for the party and got there around eight-thirty, the music was blaring and the party was already in full swing. Alcohol was spilt everywhere, people were passed out on the floor, and then there was the people drunkenly dancing. Taylor stood behind me with his hands on my hips keeping me close to him as we stepped over some of the bodies and made our way through the crowd and to the kitchen. We walked in to find the girls and guys talking and leaning against the counters until they noticed us.

Autumn- Well looked who finally decided to show up.

Everyone's head snapped towards our direction.

T- We just lost track of time I guess. He stated smirking down at me.

Aubree- Mhmm sure you did.

So the guys discussed who would be with who for the night. I was with Taylor, Autumn and Katherine were with Matt, and Aubree was with Hayes. Throughout the night all Taylor and I did was stay off to the side talking and once in a while we'd go out on the floor and dance but most of the time I just leaned on him as we talked. Tonight wasn't going as bad as I thought it would until Hayes walked up to us with the girls.

H- You mind if I steal Scar for a little bit and you take Aubree?

T- Nah go ahead but don't keep her for long.

Hayes took my hand and led me to the dance floor, he turned me around and pulled our bodies together and I started grinding on him which continued for a few songs until more of a slow song came on. He turned me back around setting his arms around my waist as I wrapped mine around his neck and rested my head on his chest. I don't know why but I loved the way he gently touched me when we were dancing, his presence made me feel comfortable, the way he slowly caressed my body when we were intimate had sent chills throughout my body, I felt a burning sensation every time our skin made contact. I wanted so badly to be able to hate him but something kept me from doing just that. His lips were so addictive that every time I see him I just wanna attack him with kisses. He was a total jerk but something about him was so captivating to me though I couldn't understand what it was. I looked up at him and saw he was looking at me, I studied his face for a minute before pulling his head down and connecting his lips to mine. He instantly kissed back his grip getting tighter around me as he deepened the kiss. After a few minutes we pulled away and led me back to Taylor taking Aubree with him as he made his way back through the crowd without saying a single word to me which caused me to feel somewhat hurt but I brushed it off and continued through the night until it was over.

By the time we left it was way past my curfew so I decided to stay at Taylor's, I changed into one of his sweatshirts and got under the covers cuddling up to him and not too long after I fell into a deep sleep in his arms.
