Jungkook's Pov

I'm in some kind of a white room with a tube hooked to my body when I wake up. My entire body was numb, but I could still feel the anguish in my neck. Despite the pain, I moved my neck to the right and saw a stack of bottle-filled pills in a clear container. 'When needed,' said a sticker on the container. I was staring at her while she was reading a book. "Auntie?" She stood up, her gaze shifting from the novel in her hands to me. She dragged a chair from the corner of the room and sat down on it next to me. My other hand rested on my empty and hungry abdomen as she grasped my hand. "My name. What's my name?"

"Yoo Jisoo," says the narrator. As she lets out a relieved sigh, I whispered in a dejected tone. "Can you tell me why you're asking?"

"To check if you're totally awake. For the past ten days, you've been in and out." Her brows furrowed as she reprimanded me. Without my aunt's assistance, I gained the strength to sit up. "Who found me, Auntie?" My aunt giggled. "Did you honestly believe I didn't know?" In humiliation, after hearing what my aunt had said, I quickly looked down, avoiding eye contact. "I'm familiar with you, Jungkook." My aunt took my colorless hands in hers and held them tightly. "I disconnected your phone and completed your school transfer form. The house has also been put back on the market." She smiled, while I did the opposite. "Then, it's all over."

"Yes, it's all over. So all you need to think about, is pulling yourself back together."

"Where am I? This doesn't look like a hospital."

As I made eye contact with my aunt, she smiled back, still holding my hand. "It's a place that can aid you and me,"

"No one knows you're here besides us."

Not even Kim Taehyung.

As I sat on a bench outside the institution, I poured tablets from the bottle in my room and chugged it down. I've been relegated to the world of gray once more. I take these tablets to forget about Kim Taehyung's phone number, which is permanently inscribed in my mind.  Auntie is still searching for my mom, and I spend my days missing Kim Taehyung.

As darkness falls on me and my sleeping aunt, I stare out the window. I was supposed to be sleeping for hours, but I couldn't. All of the drugs must be causing me to see things that aren't there. Even though the colors aren't genuine, I'm delighted I get to view them. My aunt continued to sleep through a loud knock on the window, which threw me off guard. I got to my feet and dragged the tube attached to me along with me. As Kim Taehyung appeared out of nowhere, I slid the window to the side and opened it. "What? Taehyung?" As he offered me a broad smile, I whispered to him. He handed me a large black bag that he was carrying, which I lightly tossed onto my bed. Despite my exhaustion, Taehyung continued climbing in while I assisted him.

As I closed the window, Taehyung successfully climbed inside my room. Taehyung noticed my aunt on the couch and looked at me, I started signaling him to remain quiet with a finger in front of my lips. "How did you find me?"

"Did you really think I wouldn't find you? I'm your probe you know."

"You can't be! I shouldn't be with you." Taehyung retorted with a snicker. "Of course you can, you idiot," I just gave a jerky shake of my head. "Isn't this a dream? Those medicines must be wreaking havoc on my mind,"

"I won't wake up from it."

"Look at me, Jungkook."

Taehyung removed his mask and gazed at me with half-closed eyes and slightly parted lips.

As I kept my gaze fixed on him, splotches of color flooded my reality. I was head over heals in love with the person and the beauty of colors he has brought into my life. Taehyung approached me and grabbed my waist. "This isn't a dream, Jungkook,"

"And we're going to leave,"

"I'm getting you out of here."

Taehyung grabbed my arm with his other hand as I began to fall. My hands were resting on his shoulder. My eyes and lips trembled as I looked up at him. "This feels more like a dream." Taehyung looked at me with a worried expression on his face. "How much medication are you taking?"

"Let's not get off track. Let us get you out of this outfit."

Taehyung smiled at me, and I returned his smile.

Holding hands, Taehyung and I hurried out of the institution and through the halls. On Taehyung's shoulder, as the bus driver drove through the night, I laid my head. "It's real!" I said. While looking at Taehyung, he laughed. "Are you fully awake now?" I reciprocated with a nod of my head. "But, I shouldn't be off those drugs." I lowered my gaze to my lap. "I'm here now, so you don't have to do that." "Where are we going?" I wondered as I gazed out the bus window.

"We're going to the beach."

"Why?"

"The color of the sea you saw in the nurse's office. I wanted to show you that."

"The color blue?"

"Yeah, ocean blue."

The bus finally came to a halt. Taehyung and I exited the bus together. "Come on," he says as he dragged me inside a nearby tiny hotel by my hand. While Taehyung slept on the floor, I slept on the bed.

"Sleeping on the floor was never part of the plan, I only considered sharing the bed with you."

"Taehyung, that will never be an option."

Taehyung sighed with disappointment. "The fact that you're fine with me without my mask," I sensed his gaze on me from below. "Must mean that you like me." For almost ten seconds, there was silence. "Are you not going to turn off the lights?" I remained silent, his gaze fixed on me as I gazed up at the ceiling. "Fine. Leave it on, I wouldn't mind staying up all night watching you."

"I'll turn it off." That's exactly what I did.

"You know, I like your color moving. I like how you reach for the colors with an innocent laugh on your face. When I teach you about colors, your mouth opens slightly, and I love the excitement on your face. I like how you get defensive when teased, and sigh as you let things be. I also like how easy it is to provoke you. But I couldn't tell you any of this, because I was scared that it might drive you away."

After hearing what he had to say, I turned to face him. As soon as we made eye contact, he did the same thing. "I could see a longing expression on your face every time. When K-pop trainees leave their agency, they all have the same expression."

"Trying not to fall in love, and desperately trying to hide that thought from others. I bet that's what it says on my face right now."

"What?"

He broke eye contact.

"I ran away, Jungkook."
