"Happy birthday dear Felicia, happy birthday to you!"
The whole room cheered and clapped as Felicia was blowing the candles on top of her birthday cake.
Ricardo had organized a surprise birthday party for his sweetheart's special day. He wanted her to be happy that day and she sure seemed to be.
"Alles gute, liebe." He said kissing her cheek.
"Dankeschön Rici."
The party continued with loads of friends and family greeting each other, dancing and having fun in general.
At the corner of the living room there was a huge pile of gifts, wrapped up in colourful papers. Each one had tags with wishes and they seemed major, comparing to a small folder, just a boring plain folder. Little did Felicia know that this present would be her by far favourite.
The time had passed away and the very last guest had already left. It was just Felicia and Ricardo in the house. Felicia went inside their bedroom to change clothes and put off her make up. It had been a quite tiring day and she just wanted to lay in bed. But of course Ricardo wouldn't let her, he would want to open her gifts. If she wouldn't, he would. But they were her gifts after all!
"Baby! Are you ready? I'm opening the gifts!" She heard Ricardo yelling from inside the living room.
Felicia sighed and went inside the room. She saw her boyfriend unwrapping the first present and smiled. He was being so childish, but that's why she loved him. He had the innocence of a young kid.
"It's a necklace! Wow, it's beautiful, it will look so good on you!"
"Who is it from?"
"Um, my mother and my brother. But I bet Cico just signed his name in the tag underneath my mother's!"
He was right, that was what Cico always did!
A series of gift-unwrapping had started and it sure included lots of ripped wrapping paper thrown all over the room, making a massive mess.
Finally, they were unwrapping the last one, a gift from Montana, André Schürrle's girlfriend. It was a cute little teddy bear, dressed with a Wolfsburg "Rodriguez" jersey.
"I guess that's all Ric, we must go to bed now." Felicia said sounding like a mommy having to put her baby to sleep.
"No it's not! You forgot this little guy." He said showing her the folder in the corner.
Felicia worked towards it and picked it up. It said: From Ricardo, happy birthday xxx in the back and had a heart-shaped sticker in the front, closing the folder.
She opened it and saw a leaflet of a hotel in Santorini with two tickets inside it. A little piece of paper was accompanying them too, having "Χρόνια πολλά Felicia. Σ'αγαπώ και θα μ'αγαπάς κι εσύ στην Σαντορίνη <3"
"What is that?" Felicia asked shocked.
"What do you think it is?" Ricardo said smirking.
"I can't really tell... I don't understand the language!"
"We're going to Greece and you'll be able to understand it on the way back!"
Felicia squealed and hugged him.
It really was the best present she'd ever received!
