"Are you sleeping?"

Amy opened her eyes and stared at me like I had grown two heads. I had just finished telling her everything that happened in my point of view from the kidnapping to the witches and the dream attack. She didn't interrupt me once or question anything instead she let out a loud yawn and proceeded to nod off right in front of me. This is not what I expected.

"I spent 24 hours awake yesterday thinking I was crazy. I have successfully proved that is not the case," she huffed, "I deserve to sleep."

And she rolled the drivers chair back, rolled up her window and mine and fell to sleep almost immediately.

I looked around to see that we were still parked in the road with loud horn blaring past us every few seconds and the only thing I could do was grunt and fall back into my seat while I wait for Amy to finish her nap.

There was a store across the street and people had ice cream coming out. I started craving the sweetness. Making sure to leave enough room for Amy to breathe through the windows, I grabbed her purse and got of the car locking it on my way out.

It was a small store with the ice cream right by the cashier. I saw cookie dough, vanilla and chocolate chip. My mouth watered. There a few seconds before a gong sounded. I looked up to see an old clock in the corner. It was noon. Then everything was dark the clock shattered to the ground with a body crashed through it. I gasped. There was blood, lots of it surrounding the scene. I walked closer careful to avoid the glass. Then there was a cry.

And I was back at the store. The light restored. An old man stood over the display case gazing at me like I had a zit on my fore head.

"What's it gonna be kid?" he asked gesturing at the ice cream.

"Umm. Two scoops chocolate chip in a cup."

I blinked once then twice but the scene didn't come back. I swallowed in fear hoping that it was just a day mare.

The man handed me my small cup and a plastic spoon and I paid him with Amy's money. I hope she won't mind.

I had a taste of the sweetness before turning to the door. The next person had walked in, turned and stared at me. His eyes glowed yellow and I gasped dropping the cup in the process.

I closed my eyes and opened them again and it was the same man staring at me confused with his perfectly brown normal eyes. My head started hurting and I walked out of the store after making an apology.

The street had become busy in the short time I spent in the store. Cars were zooming past me blaring their horns and drivers were shouting insults. It was a normal day. Yet today it seemed louder. The screams and growls from one driver to the next resonated inside my head like a horrible alarm tune. The ground beneath my feet kept shifting in a blurry dance. Everything around me was moving.

"Crystal."

Like a song my name was sung. The excess noise in the background made it hard to make it out properly.

Then the images started again. The clock. The gong. The broken glass on the floor. The blood.

Then the cry. That loud very distinctive cry.

Margot was levitating in the living room while she juggled apples. The older witches had taken over the kitchen making foul smelling potions. Blake had made his permanent residence in the library. Jordan was supervising the witches. The best way he knew how. Randomly counting and age categorizing the witches and which room there were settled in.

Felix was in his father's office going over the map of the city and planning new patrols and finding ways he could barricade Crystal inside without her noticing.

"Felix boy,"

His head snapped to the door frame to see the middle aged little witch. Her hair was more disturbed than usual and her rob was torn in many different places.

"What else do you need, Carmen?" He groaned looking back at his work but the witch wouldn't have it.

"Something's not right." She insisted and he rolled his eyes.

"Nothing has been right since your entire coven decided to move in." He said proceeding to ignore.

"Its Crystal, I can't sense her."

That certainly had his attention. His head snapped back and his eyes locked on hers. The look in her eyes softened and she nodded.

Felix started thinking of the worst. She was taken once before, he swore to himself he would never let that happen again. He let her down. Again. How would he forgive himself after this? How would she forgive her?

"Felix the number of witches has stayed constant like my other patrol," Jordan walked in, "Can I take a break now there are so many assignments eating away at- Hello Carmen."

"Jordan." She acknowledged Jordan as her eyes stayed locked on Felix, waiting for his next move.

"Jordan gather some men and trackers. Crystal is missing." He ordered calmly, "We use the cars this time. I know she left with Amy they must have gone to the city and no one gets to rest until she is found, DO YOU HERE ME?!" the alpha growled.

Jordan fell to his knees in submission as the aura of leadership filled the room.

In that same second Carmen and Felix locked eyes again. The tension increased tenfold while Jordan struggled to crawl away. Carmen broke away first leaving room for Felix to charge out of the room. The second he made it to the hallway he took off running down the stairs to the front door. Ready to save his beloved.

He threw the door open and off its hinges it flew to the back wall crushing to pieces. A loud scream followed. He turned fangs descending and claws ready to fight.

Amy gasped and fell back staring at him like he was a monster.

Felix relaxed his body and sighed realizing his mistake.

"Amy," He reached for her softly. At least he thought he sounded soft, " What are you doing here? Did you not leave with Crystal?"

She nodded helplessly, "Y-Yeah. W-we l-left e-earlier and t-talked."

She scooted further away and cleared her throat, "I took a nap, she went out of the car, she came back with a head ache and we decided to come back."

Felix sighed in relief and walked past Amy's shaking form. He would explain to her later.

He jogged to the Grey SUV Amy uses and smiled when he saw Crystal fast asleep in the back seat. Her eye brows were creased and her face seemed red. She wasn't missing. She wasn't off the supernatural grid. She was here where he could see her.

But why couldn't the witch.
