Ian’s POV

I woke up this morning bright and early. Well, bright is an exaggeration. I actually woke up at 5 o’clock as usual. I am not sure why, but it is just something that my body does on its own. I began to stretch, when I felt someone lying on my arm. I looked down and noticed that Austin was lying on my arm with his face between my chest and arm with his beautiful face turned toward me.

I decided to just lay there for a little while and watch him sleep. Although I never thought that I would be with a guy, I am really happy. It does not feel wrong. Then again, when how could it be wrong to be with the person that makes you happy? All I know is, I am happy and I would not change it.

“Good morning sunshine,” I heard Austin’s voice whisper in my ear.

I looked over and noticed him smiling at me. “Good morning,” I said smiling back.

“You know, you are more comfortable than you look.”

“Is that so?”

“Yeah, you look like a brick wall. However, you feel like a teddy bear.”

“You are so funny. I say that we get up from here and go get some breakfast.”

“I say… you should give me a kiss, and then we can have breakfast.”

That is Austin for you. So, I leaned down and gave him a kiss, then another, and another, and another. What was supposed to be an innocent kiss became make-out cession.

After about five minutes, we broke apart. I looked at Austin and saw that his hair was a little disheveled, his lips were swollen, and he was wearing a small blush. We fixed up and then headed down the stairs.

As we walked down the stairs, I noticed that Mrs. Kendal was in the kitchen. I looked at Austin and motioned my head toward the kitchen where his mother sat. She was sitting in her robe and sipping a cup of coffee, when suddenly I heard someone else in the room with her speaking.

“I am telling you, that is the sweetest thing that I have ever heard. I did not know that he had it in him,” the voice said.

“And the best part is, Ian had no IDEA what was going on. You should have seen his face,” I heard Mrs. Kendal say.

“Marie, listen to me. You have got to think about one thing though. Neither of those boys are old enough to have sex. It is something that you have got to talk to them about. No excuses.”

“Mom,” she paused and smiled. Apparently, she was talking to her mother or mother-in-law. “Andy and I talked to the boys last night. Believe me when I say, nothing is going to happen right now. I do not think that either of the boys are ready for something like that. Not to mention the fact that I believe Ian has enough respect for Austin to keep it in his pants till both of them are ready.”

I understand where they are coming from, having this conversation and all. After all, we are both teenage boys, and most of us only have one thing on our minds. However, that is most, not all. I have never had sex, and I do not plan to any time soon.

“I can tell you one thing though, it seems to me that Austin caught himself a good one,” Mrs. Kendal said telling her mother. I smiled at Austin and he kissed my forehead. “He is cute, blond, he has beautiful green eyes, and he is the sweetest and most respectful young man that I have ever spoken to.”

“I am only going to say one thing. It is a good thing that I was not around when his mother spoke to him like that. I would give her what for. That is no way for a mother to treat her child, especially her only child.”

“He took it better than most would. I know that he cried, but he still seems strong after all of that.”

I suppose Austin got tired of standing there and decided to walk into the kitchen on his mother’s and grandmother’s conversation. “Good morning mom,” he said with a smile plastered on his face.

“Good morning everyone,” I said walking in after him.

“Marie,” the older woman said in an exasperated voice. “Oh my, he is a handsome young devil.”

“Thank you ma’am,” I said before grabbing her right hand and kissing the back of it. I know that I was over playing the part a little, but I like to see some people get overworked.

“Austin, you better keep a tight hold on this one, I might steel him from you if you do not watch him closely,” she said with a smile on her face.

Austin looked at the woman. Apparently, Mrs. Kendal forgot to tell him who she was. He stood there looking at her, then looked at his mother with a confused look on his face.

She noticed the look on his face, and almost jumped off her seat, “Oh my goodness, I almost forgot. Austin this is your grandmother, Margi.”

“Oh, hello,” he said with a meek voice.

I guess I never really noticed how he was so shy. It seems as though every time he meets someone new, he became shy. I know this has to be hard for him, but surly it is going to get easier. I am going to try to help him as much as I can. I know there has to be something that I can do.

“Hello dear. I guess it is just a little hard for me to get used to you not remembering,” she said with her hand on his shoulder.

“Jack,” he said out of nowhere.

‘What is he talking about?’ I wondered.

“What did you say?” Margi asked.

“Jack. My grandfather’s name is Jack,” he said without any hesitation.

“Oh my good lord, you remembered your grandfather. I bet he will be happy to know that,” she said with a small tear rolling down her face and a smile.
