Katerina Blanca Sokolov only wanted one thing - a family. She grew up with only her mother, after her biological father left them. This was why meeting Alfonso, her stepfather, brought her so much joy. Finally, she felt complete. She felt as if she was really part of a family. But fate seemed to love playing jokes on her because four years after living the life of her dreams, her mother and her stepfather were taken away from her. Now, she was left with only her stepbrother Pavel Dostoevsky-Sokolov, the man who vowed to get rid of her.

Pavel Dostoevsky-Sokolov grew up alone. His mother died giving birth to him while his father Alfonso buried himself at work. He is heir to a Russian business holdings company and a legal position to one of the most elite organized crime family in Italy and Russia, the Denaro-Sokolov clan. All his life, he trained and focused himself on becoming the best legal successor to his father. He never complained when his father never treated him lovingly. He thought it was how fathers were. But things turned for the worse when Alfonso remarried and brought home his new wife and new daughter. Pavel wasn't prepared to see his father live happily and love strangers. He was his only son but he never felt loved by him. So he ended up hating his father's new family. It was like he was the stranger in the house, always looking in. He vowed to take revenge but he never knew his father would die so soon.
