Chapter 4

It was already eleven in the evening. Katerina has already fallen asleep, waiting for her stepbrother to find her. But he was gone the whole day. She watched her parents leave the house this afternoon for their trip to Sicily.

And with her being alone the whole night, she just decided to sleep ahead when no Pavel showed up at dinnertime. 

Now, she was slightly woken up by slow, kisses from her arms up to her shoulders and her neck. She was just wearing a thin night dress, riding up until her thighs. And she felt hands sliding in between her legs, reaching to part her thighs.

She slowly opened her sleepy eyes. With the faint light coming from her side table lamp, she saw Pavel, naked on top of her.

She sat up quickly and tried to put some space between them. "W-what are you doing?"

"Kissing you," he answered nonchalantly.

"I thought... we were gonna talk?"

"But you were already asleep."

"So you just decided it was better to just take advantage of a sleeping girl?" she asked, a bit annoyed after how she was treated this morning by him.

"You still a bit sore from last night?"

"What do you mean?"

"You're a virgin when I took you. Wasn't it uncomfortable when you woke up?"

Umiling lamang siya. "I'm fine. I just... I just didn't like how you ignored me this morning."

"I said I had something urgent to deal with," pagdadahilan nito. "I'm here now. I came as soon as I got home." He moved closer and sat beside her on the bed. "What do you wanna talk about?"

Color started creeping up her cheeks again. Where does she even begin? Does she ask him about last night? So what are they now?

"Now, you're silent."

"I just... I wanted to know why you did what you did last night."

"What I did? You mean... fucked you?" he pointed out head on.

"Y-Yes," she squeaked in reply, truly uncomfortable with this conversation.

"No one can know about this, Katerina. Not our parents, not your friends, not anyone. Unless you want my dad to send me away for corrupting a minor. You are barely eighteen, by the way."

"So... you want us to be a secret?" she clarified.

"Us?" he asked quizzically. "What do you think are we?"

"I mean... aren't we... a couple now?" she asked shyly.

He just smiled at her question. "You are such an innocent, little thing, my angel. If that's what you want, then yes. We can be a couple... but in secret as what I said."

"You're not allowed to see other women from now on," she said matter-of-factly.

His smiled turned into sudden laughter. "I never knew you were the jealous type."

"Well, I am."

"Sure," tipid na sagot nito. "What's there to lose? I have no time to date anyway. Now, where were we?" he asked, while his hands starting caressing her sides again.

"Wait," she stopped him. "Wouldn't you stop me from dating other men, too?"

"Of course. But I don't need your promise. I just want you to do it. Anyway, I have men around you, making sure that you stay true to me."

"What do you mean?"

"Now that you're mine, I will have some of my men looking after you from now on, wherever you go. They would usually report all your activities to me during the day. So for sure, I would know what you're up to, whether you're with me or not," he whispered, while his fingers started moving inside her panties, stroking her wet slit now.

She couldn't even speak. It was only her moans of agreement that echoed around the four walls of her big bedroom. And from then on, they started this little heaven privately, all to themselves.

"You have got to be fucking kidding us," Alexei commented after Pavel just revealed his tryst with his stepsister.

"Your father will kill you, you know that," Konstantin warned.

They were now in a private seating in a bar owned by Alexei.

"I have a plan," tipid na sagot niya as he sipped his Scotch whiskey.

"What plan?" Konstantin inquired.

"I thought you hated her and her mother," paalala ni Alexei.

"Exactly," Pavel quickly replied. "I'm pretty sure my dad is already changing his will by now. I have to start working faster. I need to find something to drive them out of our house and out of our lives."

"Woah, so... you're not in love with her?"

"Who said I was?" Pavel asked, irritated. "I'm just doing this to get close to her so she tells me everything there is about her mother. And after we're done, I'll just... send her off I guess."

"What if she tells on you to your father?" paalala ni Alexei. "Your inheritance could be at stake here."

"I doubt. The little girl is too kind for her own good. She couldn't even hurt a fly," he commented, his thoughts going back to Katerina once again. She was just too... soft and gentle. Like an angel.

"Is she even of legal age?" Konstantin asked.

"About to be, in a few months."

"You're fucking screwed if this goes out of hand, man!"

Pavel went home that night after confiding his secret to his closest friends. It was dinner time and he was expecting to see Katerina on the dinner table. Their parents were still out on vacation in Sicily.

But instead, he saw dozens of cars on the driveway. And their butler was in a rush, running here and there while screaming instructions to everyone.

"What is going on?" galit na galit na tanong niya.

The head of security turned to him and bowed. "I'm sorry, Sir. We were trying to contact you but your phone was out of coverage."

"I turned it off because I was out with friends."

"Sir... your parents were caught in a shoot out," balita nito.

"What do you mean?" madilim na tanong niya. Everyone was looking at him now, the maids who were rushing stopped after hearing his angry question.

"Sir, your father is dead. And so is Madame Tatiana. They were ambushed on the way to a restaurant for dinner in Sicily," the head of security replied, emotionlessly.

Pavel had no words. But the first person that came to his mind was Katerina. "Where's my stepsister?"

"Upstairs," the butler answered. "She hasn't gone out for an hour now since she heard the news."

And he ran upstairs to check on her now.

A/N: It was a gooood month-long break from Wattpad pero sobrang namiss ko kayo mga siz. Because of that, i made these double chapter update para sa inyo.

Abangan ang susunod na chapters pa! Nagsisimula pa lang ang love story nina Katerina at Pavel. 😉
