Chapter 3: Three months ago...

Daniel was running out the door to school.

"Crud. I'm going to be late on my second day back," Daniel said.

"You too! That's ridiculous!" Tom yelled at him as he ran.

"Well, I was not expecting you to be late."

When they got to school they were fifteen minutes late.

"Daniel I expected you but for you of all people to be late Tom? You both will see me after class," Mr. Studder said.

"Sorry, Mr. Studder," Daniel said.

"I'm sorry. I was sleeping," Tom said.

"Students! Now that everyone is here we can go ahead and have you guys pick new seats. First, you guys must know that you don't have to move and there are a few of you who aren't allowed to. Second, you must know who isn't allowed to so here are the ones who are not allowed to move. Both Daniels. That is all!"

"Man, Daniel. How is it that you manage to be late every day and that in every class you always get stuck in the same seat every year? I mean the other Daniel just keeps failing his classes but you just sleep," Tom asked.

"I don't know why I've always slept in."

"Oh, so that's why you're always late?" Mia asked as she took the seat behind him.

"Oh hello. Who is this Daniel?" Sarah asked.

"That's right you don't know her yet. Sarah, this is Mia. Mia, this is Sarah. Sarah, I met Mia while you and Tom were getting your powers registered. She is like me and the only other one in our class at that."

"Nice to meet you," Sarah said.

"I guess," Mia responded.

Later that night Daniel was working on something.

"Hey! Daniel! Mom says to make sure you get to bed before midnight tonight!" Abigail yelled upstairs.

"Yeah, yeah," Daniel said as he finished making his cape for his new costume. He then turned off the lights and made it look like he was in bed, put his new costume on, and jumped out the window.

"Eclipse, you're late," Luna said.

"Sorry I was working on my new costume, how does it look?" Eclipse asked as he turned around and showed it off.

"It looks ugly. Now let's start patrolling," Luna said, walking off.

"Hey! My costume isn't ugly!" Eclipse said as he walked after her.

"Both of your costumes are ugly," A voice said.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" Eclipse yelled.

"I'm right here!" A man yelled as he appeared behind Eclipse and swung at him.

"What?!" Eclipse shouted in surprise as he dodged the attack.

"Who are you?" Luna asked.

"Who I am matters not. However, what you're going to be is important," The man said, pulling a gun out and shooting at them.

"Luna get him to stop and then I'll finish it!" Eclipse said to Luna. Luna then nodded, went into the shadows, and came up behind the man, and grabbed him, stopping his gunfire. Eclipse then paralyzed him with his paralysis knife. "That was weird. He looks like my neighbor but he was different."

"Well it doesn't matter now," Luna said, "Let's continue the patrol."

The next week they went to school and got off of it and hopped out the window and went on patrol.

"There haven't been any incidents lately. What is going on around here? I mean first crime shoots up then we fight who seems to be my neighbor, and then there's almost no crime?" Eclipse asked.

"I don't know what the heck's going on, let's just get this done with," Luna said.

"Is something wrong?"

"Other than the usual no."

"Are you sure?"

"I said I'm fine!"

"Sorry."

Later that night they ran into someone.

"Who's there?" Eclipse asked.

"Your death!" A boy around their age yelled as he ran towards them changing his hand into a sword.

"Is that the other Daniel?" Luna asked as she jumped out of the way.

"I don't know! Why the heck would I know?" Eclipse yelled.

"It must be but it can't be his power isn't transformation his power is super speed!"

"What?! Him too?" Eclipse said.

"You guys are good but not good enough!" He yelled as he suddenly sped up.

"Crud. He has both powers!" Eclipse yelled.

"Yeah, I noticed!" Luna yelled.

"Luna, be careful! It's about to go dark. Eclipse!" Eclipse yelled as everything went dark.

"Where did you scaredy cats go?" the other Daniel asked, stopping.

"Clone! Right here and here and here and here!" Eclipse yelled as he and his clones cut him with the paralyzing knives.

"You can't stop ussssss w-w-with these w-w-weak wwweaponsss." the other Daniel said as he started to freeze because of the paralysis.

"Who is us?" Eclipse asked.

"The a-a-alliance th-th-th-that workssss und-d-der Death," he said as he stopped moving.

"Who's Death?" Luna asked.

"I don't know but whoever he is, he isn't on our side."
