Chapter 9: Of Royal Blood.

Death walked out of a portal and into her base with Leah following behind her.

"That was a fun few adventures wasn't it, Mage," Death said.

"Yes, it was master Death," Leah said, smirking.

"I have to go fetch a 'prince' so I'll be back in a few minutes," Death said as she opened another portal and walked through it.

"Bye-bye!" Leah smiled, waving her right hand. On her right hand, there were markings that looked like a magic circle.

"Mage, I was wondering what powers you had," The cloaked man said.

"If you want I can show you," Leah said, taking a fighting stance.

"I'm not going to fight anyone without some info to help me understand the best way to."

"Fine," Leah said as she turned her head towards where Death and the recruit would be arriving. A portal opened up and out of it came Death and someone who looked exactly like Daniel except for the fact that his hair was a dark red.

"Leon, I want you to meet your teammates and everyone, get along or kill each other now," Death said as she let the boy in.

"Look, I'm not here to make friends. I'm only here because I thought it would be fun and my uncle owed you for showing him how to use his powers."

"It doesn't matter, Leon. You'll cooperate with them or I'll personally see to your death."

"Fine. I'm Leon. Prince of the Dark Kingdom. Respect me and you'll be respected. Disrespect me and it will end badly for you," Leon said as he looked around the room.

"Nice to meet you, Leon! I look forward to causing death and destruction with you," Leah said.

"Hey. I'm going to warn you to be careful around the hero known as Eclipse. He's

someone you'll recognize as a friend in your universe but here he's against us," The cloaked man said.

"You haven't met everyone yet but that's because two of us aren't here right now and the other two aren't on our side yet. Also, feel free to explore a little bit just try not to be found," Death said.

"Whatever," Leon said as he walked off.

"I have somewhere to be myself so I'll be going," The cloaked man said as he left the base.

"See you, mister!" Leah said

"Jeez, she's entirely different from before we found her."

"Crud! I'm going to be late again!" Daniel said as he ran out the door.

"I'm going to get a reputation like you if this keeps happening to me!" Tom said as he ran over to Daniel.

"You? Late? Again? This is ridiculous, and what was that about having a reputation like me?" Daniel asked.

"You're always late and you know it!"

"You aren't wrong but that still hurt!"

"You really don't change, do you, Daniel?" Caleb said as he rode a Shrapnel Board.

"Yeah, and you don't either!" Daniel said as he continued to run.

"Yeah, but I can make it on time now thanks to my power! See you later!"

"Really? You could have helped one of us!" Tom yelled.

"He can be like that from time to time! Also, I just realized this but you're wearing black pants. I thought you hated the color black so why are you wearing it?"
