2: Secret

Hyejin walked to school and to her dismay, the usual quietness was replaced with loud gossip about her. She blocked it all out and continued inside but it wasn't any better. She entered her classroom and seeing others there before her, she saw trash and notes on top of her table. Before approaching she grabbed the trash can and slid everything inside.

Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung saw what happened and Jimin was the first one to stand next to Hyejin. Without saying anything he helped her clean up and took the trash can from her hands. Jungkook pulled out a sanitizing wipe from his bag and wiped her table for him. "Thank you," she muttered quietly and sat down in her seat.

"Who ever did this was very childish. I hope I don't meet them." Jungkook purposely said out loud. Jimin sat next to Hyejin this time with Jungkook and Taehyung behind them. Luckily the teacher came in so the tension in the room was cut.

"Okay class today we will be learning about..."

Hyejin zoned out. This was the first time in her school years that she received this treatment before. And for what? The only thing she can assume is for talking to the three new students. Since that is the only interaction she has made with any students before.

Once class was done, again waiting for everyone to leave, Hyejin packed her things. Again she wasn't alone.

"Jimin, why are you and your friends still here?"

"I wanted to pack slow is all. Why are you still here?"

"..."

"Look Hyejin, I can tell hyung wants to be your friend. Will you allow that?" Jungkook asked and with no hesitation, "No."

Lunch came around and Hyejin was again at the rooftop. That's where she always has her lunch because it was peaceful and no one bothered her.

"There she is!" Hyejin turned around to see the three new students again. Releasing a sigh because she didn't understand why they kept appearing.

"I thought my 'no' meant something?"

"Well it didn't." Jimin said as he sat next to her and proceeded to take one kimbap out of her lunch.

"That's mine!"

"Thanks for sharing," He gave her an eye smile which she returned with an eye roll. Scooting away from Jimin and holding her lunch closer to her. "Why are you guys up here anyways?"

"We were looking for you. But now that we see you have lunch we have nothing to worry about."

"And why would you worry? You don't know me."

"Because we want to help you." Hyejin was taken aback by Taehyung's voice. She hasn't heard him speak once until now and wasn't expecting a deep voice from him.

"Well why do you want to help me? Nothing about me is screaming 'help' in particular."

"Well what happened this morning on your table sure seemed like it."

"That happened because you guys are associating with me. If you never spoke to me then it wouldn't have happened."

"I guess our popularity is crazy." Jimin said sheepishly as he scratched the back of his neck. Hyejin gave him a questioning look as she continued to eat.

"Just one thing. Why are you guys popular?"

Now they gave her a questioning look. "You don't know us?"

"No...am I supposed to?"

"Do you know BTS?"

"..." The three were astonished to meet someone close to their age and not know who they were. "Well at least we know she isn't interested in us like that." Jungkook said.
