Part 9:

Jordan's POV-

I sat down at one of the chairs outside of the administrative office. Mrs. Kahn had let me go wait for Niall considering he was my partner and maybe she figured out that the punches were because of me. I went through my head what I had heard them say, trying to figure out exactly why Niall punched Lance.

I heard "whore" and the words, "Linda was crying." It was obvious; everyone thinks I slept with Niall. Frustration built inside of me. Why? Why me? A tear slipped from eye but quickly wiped it away when I heard the front doors of the school open.

A women with blonde hair stepped it, her face looking worried. Maura. I immediately stood, astonished by the figure in front of me.

"Jordan?" She asked.

Maura, one of the kindest women I know, is Niall's mother. She was always my second mum, I loved her as much as my own mum.

"Yes!" We hugged for a while before she pulled away saying,

"You've grown so much sweetie! How is your mum doing? How are you doing?"

I smiled in response, still thrilled to see her.

"My mom and I are doing great! What are you up too lately?" I asked, both of us sitting down.

"Oh you know, the usual."

Her face turned into a frown realizing why she was here again.

"Oh but that boy, I don't know what to do with him. Did he get you into this? Are you in trouble?"

"No no, I'm just here to wait for him." She smiled at my answer.

"I haven't heard your name brought in conversation since you were 15! Are you and Niall talking again?"

I blushed at her question thinking back to the park.

"Yeah, we are actually."

"Good."

She was about to speak again but the door to the administrative office opened cutting her off.

"Ah yes, you must be Niall's mother. Your son is in here."

Niall walked out of the office, his expression exhausted. His face lit up as his eyes met mine but was quickly replaced with guilt when he saw my face.

"Young man, we will have a serious discussion when we get home, no excuses." Maura's voice sounded furious, like it usually did when Niall got in trouble. His head dropped, looking towards the floor as he stood there, as if waiting for his mother to scream at him. His expectations were thankfully dropped. Principal Newman asked Maura to talk with her, in her office.

"Of course." She said before looking at Niall then walking inside principal Newman's office. The door closed with a slight click.

Niall's head popped up, grabbing the back of his neck nervously. He bit his bottom lip curious as to what I was going to say. I got up from the chair and slowly walked over to him. I starred into his gorgeous blue eyes, then down at his lips. He released his bottom lip from his teeth watching me closely. I slipped my arms around his body resting my hands on his back. He hugged me back, squeezing gently. I layed my head on his chest listening to his heart beat and smelling the familiar scent of Niall. I couldn't help it, I had to ask.

"Why?" I whispered. I didn't glance up, I wanted to stay in his arms and listen to sound of his heart. He took a deep breath before replying.

"He-he called you a..." He couldn't finish. He put his head down on mine before whispering,

"They all lied. I know you are anything but what they say, and I care about you" he kissed my forehead.

"Back in my head we were kissing, and I thought things were going alright; with a sign on my back saying kick me, reality ruined my life." He obviously had no sign on his back, but I know what he meant. Life was just tumbling down on him, with Linda making lies, his friends disgusted by me, and the trouble he's getting right now from his actions in French.

"It's because of me. I shouldn't be in your life, I'm just making it worse." I tried to pull away from his embrace but he tugged me closer.

"Not one bit because of you." He spoke in that accent I love, "those are my choices but it's because, some people are just disrespectful." I tear ran down my face.

"Don't leave." I said. He stood there confused before replied,

"I won't."

"Promise?"

"I promise." He said, whispering.

Our conversation was cut short when the office door opened. We pulled away immediately, and luckily Maura nor principal Newman saw.

"Thanks you so much for coming."

"No problem. So you're sure it's alright to take him home a little early right now?" Niall glanced at me, his face sad.

"Oh yes, that's fine. But he will be suspended for the rest of the week." I looked at him, knowing I probably won't see him for awhile.

"Okay, will do. Thank you." While they discussed a little while longer Niall came over and whispered in my ear his number. And I swear I never forgot those digits. He turned towards the door where his mom was already walking out. He turned just before leaving and gave me a smile. I couldn't help but blush a deep red.
