Chapter 11

"Well, that's the end of our meeting"

"So, all we need to do is never leave Cale alone, nya"

"that's easy, nya"

They are currently at Rosalyn and Eruhaben's lab with soundproof magic casted. The soundproof magic that Eruhaben casted makes everyone inside the room unable to hear from the outside and everything outside cannot hear anything from the inside.

"The samples of the drug found in that place is ready to be examined"

"so, all that's left is to wait for the doctor my student sent"

"indeed"

"Me and my siblings have to go back to the human now."

"that's right, nya"

"Alright let's all return to our quarters now"

Once everyone stepped outside the room, they felt a presence. Rapid breathing. Shaky movement. A scent of fear or is it despair.

Choi Han, Ron, and Beacrox were the first one's that felt the presence. They quickly went to the place where the breathing started to get louder while the others followed. It was getting closer....it was

'it's near Ron and Beacrox quarters'

'It must be an intruder'

Once they got close, they saw a shadow of a man knelt down near the opened door of Ron's room.

Choi Han quickly unsheathed his sword, ran to the man and pointed his blade at the man's neck.

Once Choi Han's blade was pointed, Beacrox quickly turned on the lights to see the intruders face.

What they saw wasn't an intruders face but a familiar man's face who they respected and cared about.

"Cale-nim...?"

Cale was trembling while kneeling on the ground. His eyes held fear and relief at the same time. Streams of tears can be seen on his face.

Everyone was shocked seeing Cale like this. The Cale they knew doesn't let his emotions run freely on his face. Or more so they know Cale hides it.

"Cale-nim are you ok?"

Choi Han quickly offered his hand to help Cale stand up.

"Young Master might I ask what you are doing here?" asked Ron. This question was also in everyone's minds.

"th-the kids weren't in the room so I went to your rooms to ask but you we-weren't in there ei-either..."

Everyone's eyes widened when they heard what Cale said. Fear was reflected in his eyes when he said that which made the others heart sank even more.

"I-I'll be going back now, since you all seem fine"

Cale quickly rushed back to his room slamming the door shut.

"Sigh why did I keep stuttering..."

Now alone in his room, his back facing the door, Cale rethought everything that just happened.

'telling them I was their crying because I couldn't find them?!?! Seriously.... what was I thinking?! What am I a child'?

"ugghhh"

'there's no use to think about it now

Might as well just deal with it tomorrow'

Cale dragged his body towards the bed, slightly bumping to the bedside table that made a certain pad of paper fall to the ground.

"oh"

"oh I'm able to talk now"

'it must've been out of shock'

Creak

3 figures showed themselves into Cale's room.

"human..."

"Were sorry we left you alone, nya"

"it isn't your fault, lets sleep now it's already gotten late"

"Okay, nya"

'Just when we all agreed to not leave Cale alone...'

Ron has been with Cale for almost his whole life and he only had seen Cale cry two times. The first was when he lost his mother and the second was when his plate was fusing back together after getting the Sky Eating Water.

'He must've been shocked to see even I was not in my quarters

It was our mistake to hold the meeting without leaving anybody with Cale

...

Suddenly seeing everyone gone led him to that state...

It must be Trauma'

The room where Cale was found in had no light sources. The only thing inside was a wooden chair with a weird design and straps on it. The room next door had chains attached to a wall, a chair and a shelf full of objects used for torture.

'I should ask Rosalyn to find out what the wooden chair does since it could be another reason for Cale's trauma...

All that's left is to wait for the doctor and to show him the sample of the drugs we found in that place'

It was early in the morning, the time when the merchants are preparing to open up their stores. A red-haired man was watching a dragon and two fog cats' sleep.

'I woke up a little early today'

Thought the man while watching Raon, On and Hong sleep. Some sun light seeped in between the curtains letting Cale see the kids' faces much clearer.

'Aren't they sleeping well'

Cale's lips formed a smile thinking how the kids are having happy dreams.

Ron was already dressed in his suit ready to start the day and give Cale his daily lemonade.

When...

"Mr. Ron!"

a frantic Rosalyn suddenly appeared before him.

"What is it Ms. Rosalyn?"

"The doctor has arrived in the Henituse Duchy."

"!"
