I will make this right. To put an end to the pain and suffering of everyone in this place. I would sacrifice my own life for Alucard to be safe because I love him. And that kind of love is something that can overcome any hurt and surpass any obstacle.

The magician's blood smeared against the stone floor as I dragged the headless body behind me.

Amara's scent bounced through the whole place. I mentally kicked myself for not recognizing the scent of an alpha. Then again I had never met an alpha before except for that night I was turned by the river.

The windy corridors ended in front of the two huge doors, with one swift kick the heavy oak doors broke from the hinges sliding across the stone floors. The zombie wolves scattered to avoid getting crushed. I threw the severed head and body on the magician at Amara's feet. I couldn't see her expression under the veil but in sync a heavy snarl went up from males around me.

"You dare to stand against your own kind! You dare to stand against your alpha!" Amara screamed, her voice echoed into my head but my walls stood strong.

"Shut up bitch!" growling I shifted, snapping my sharpened teeth at her "You are no alpha of mine. You are nothing but a pain in my ass. Give me back Alucard or I will kill you and bury your pack under this castle."

She straightened her back eyes flaring a glowing bloody red. "Of course Charlie." with a snap of her finger two more wolves appeared dragging Alucard between them. His face was covered in grim and blood, he looked frail and sickly.

Our eyes met across the room and for that split second everyone else disappeared.

"Charlie?" his voice was cracked and broken "No, you can't be here. Run! Run!"

Amara snarled "Silence him!" One of the wolves punched him in the gut, making Alucard cough up blood.

"Hands off my mate!" I snarled storming towards them but the zombie wolves moved blocking my way.

"Don't try to make demands of me peasant, I own you." Amara sniffed her wolves closed in on me again, pushing me away from Alucard. I couldn't afford to attack any of these wolves, they were under Amara's control and I do not willingly kill innocent people if I can.

There was only one way to win "Nobody owns me. And I am a wolf holding the right to challenge you. If I win I take control as Alpha and Alucard. But if you win I swear allegiance to the pack and you get me forever."

"Charlie no!" Alucard cried out.

Amara's eyes flashed flickering between me and Alucard. A challenge to an Alpha was a big deal, if I lost at least it would buy enough time for Dante to escape. "I accept."
