The light of my life, the man I loved most is hanging from a cross like a fucking scarecrow. He looked completely broken and tired. His hung head low against his chest the long waves of matted golden hair shielded his face. But the sight of his exposed skin made my stomach sickening twist as an angry growl rippled from deep in my chest. The long scar that Dracula had given him when he first stood against his father had been recut, crimson blood dried down his stomach. I am going to tear their heads from their shoulders and paint the stone walls in their blood. These monsters had hurt my mate for that they would die slowly and painfully for a wolf only takes one mate in their life and may god be with those who get between them.
It takes every ounce of willpower not to leap off the balcony and rush to him. My entire being screamed in pain at the sight of him hanging there. But even with the element of surprise it would be suiced and I knew it. These were not humans I was up against; they were wolves and whatever spell they were under made them under the veiled woman's complete control. Then there was that voice that scared me how hard it had been to fight against it the first time if it had not been for Alucards memories to barricade it out. I fear what effects it would have had.
Below me at least fifty men stood facing forward, their back straight as arrows. No one seemed to move like they were statues carved from stone. Suddenly the curtain behind Alucard ripped and warped my eyes snapping to the small movement. A man stepped from the shadows from my hiding place. I could not make out his face under the jet black hair but there were no red eyes. The man seemed unfazed by the sea of wolves before him; instead he walked to the woman and whispered into her ear before the shadows once again warped around him and he was gone.
This rescue mission just keeps getting harder one against fifty puppet wolves, some freaky red eyed bitch, and now some shadow warping freaky ass magician. But I would go against them all alone if that was what it would have to take to get Alucard back.
Leaning back onto the stone pillar I was using as cover I focus on my breathing to remain calm grumbling mostly to myself "After this Alucard we are definitely going on a damn vacation"
"Slaves" Slaves? My lips twitched into a deep scowl I hate this bitch "It seems as if we have an unannounced guest. Find them and bring them to me!" her very voice sent a cold shiver down my neck making my ears flatten against my head. I am so going to punch that bitch my element of surprise is slowly slipping away.
As one unit all the wolves disappeared from the room leaving Alucard hanging from the cross alone.
I couldn't help that flame of hope rising in my chest. Finally something going my way. As the last sounds of footsteps disappeared into the stone walls leaving the sound of my heart pounding loudly in my ears. With the imminent threat of discovery gone I wasted no time in jumping from the balcony and running to Alucard.
My claws retracted into my hands before I reached him.
"Alucard, wake up! Alucard, open your eyes!" pleading I push his hair out face taking in his soft sunken features.
"I'm afraid he's a little indisposed of." the sickly gleeful voice behind me brought a feeling pure rage boiling to the surface. Quickly withdrawing two silver knives I drop into a defensive protectively stance in front of Alucard.
I bared my teeth growling angrily at the veiled woman in the shadows "I'm going to kill you bitch!" I yell, throwing a knife at her face.
She simply stands there but just before the knife hits the target a pale hand appears and grabs it out of mid air centimeters from her veiled face. The magician appeared to save her at the last moment, tossing my knife away as he summoned a green mist into his hand.
I moved to kill them both but before I could something hard connected with the back of my head. Making me fall to my knees fighting to stay awake.
The stench of the new threat hits me almost immediately as the world fades to black. Vampire!
