Chapter 1: Life in the Mafia world

"Areum are you almost here I'm waiting for Mr Choi and Eunwoo's file in my office." "Yes Su Byeol, I'll be there soon" she said quickly. It's not easy running a mafia business but it has its pros and cons. I don't kill the innocent, only my enemies. For my enemies I'm The Jang Su Byeol also known as The Mafia Queen but for the rest of the world I'm just a normal university student in Seoul. I've established one of the most well-built mafia gangs in South Korea. Obviously, I'm not alone I have with me 4 other powerful women or should I say Mafia queens:

Kim Areum- my cousin.

Choi Haneul- Mr Choi's daughter who is the investor/manager of our mafia business. 

Jang Seonmi- my sister.

Park Chanmi- my best friend.

I have my most loyal Agent Rex who deals with the technological side of the mafia related cases like hacking, coding, and obviously like any other mafia gang I have henchmen working for me. Enough of all that, time for the real business. One of my enemies, Jae Eunwoo had recently gotten out of jail and ambushed my men. We lost 10 guys. I asked Agent Rex to investigate on him and find out about his whereabouts and his plans and so Areum is coming with the files containing the information soon. Suddenly I got a call, it was Areum.

(On the phone):

Areum- Hi Byeolieee

(Me)Su Byeol- Come on don't joke right now, and where are the files???, I asked you to get them half an hour ago.

Areum- Ok chill girll I left them at the reception they should be at your desk soon.

Su Byeol- AREUM!! Are you crazy you can't just leave it at the reception we can't trust anyone but ourselves.

Areum- What's with you today? is it because of Eunwoo?, look I know he's gotten onto your nerves lately but come on look at the bright side we got his information thanks to Agent Rex and also the files are in good hands I've sent it with our other agent, Agent Lee

Su Byeol- Yea you're right, sorry I guess I really am overreacting.

Areum- clearly you are but bye I have to go for a meeting.

Su Byeol- chuckles* ok bye

Me and the rest of the Mafia Queens get along really well mostly because we're closely related. they're also undoubtedly much more patient than me since I'm pretty short tempered, but it's one of the traits of a mafia, right? I lose it when my enemies win because I'm not used to defeat, it's just not accdptable. It took a lot of sweat and hard work to build my reputation but when I look back it's all worth it. I first started off this business at 16 with my girls and it was quite a rocky start it was just Seonmi, Chanmi, Areum, Haneul and me, and we seriously got hurt since there were no henchmen at the time, but we didn't give up. It's been 5 hardworking years now and I'm 21 and so my group has earned the title of the BEST mafia gang and so we are.

Our mafia gang is 마피아 퀸즈or Mafia Queens

I need to call them right now because I just found out that Eunwoo has been captured and he's at our warehouse.

On the group chat

Su Byeol- Girls we need to go to the warehouse ASAP

Areum- What?

Haneul- Why?

Seonmi- What happened?

Chanmi- Is everything alright?

Su Byeol- everything's fine but Agent Iolet has found Jae Eunwoo and our men have captivated him in there. So, we need to go deal with him 😏

Areum- on my way

Haneul- Got it

Seonmi- Oh yeah

Chanmi- That's great

We reached there in an hour because it's quite far. I quickly headed out of my black jeep and ran down into the basement where all the pain happens. I met the girls down there and I saw Haneul tying Eunwoo up. I smirked at Eunwoo "tsk tsk tsk who do we have here, Mr Jae nice to see you tied up here" I said. He was blindfolded so he couldn't see me or literally anything. I signaled one of my men to open the blindfold and when Eunwoo saw me his face grew pale. "Happy to see me? ,Thought I wouldn't find you hmm?" I said. I signaled Chanmi to untie his hands. " You've been in this world for way too long and you've been causing quite a lot of trouble, I think your time is up don't you think" as I said this I saw his face turning red in anger. Seonmi went at his neck with a pocketknife threatening to cut it.

I asked him "If u want to stay alive you need to tell us why you killed my men and WHY YOU'VE BEEN AFTER US FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS!" I said in harsh tone at the end. I get extremely angry when the criminals don't crack and just tell us everything, but I definitely have my ways to crack him open. His hands were open but his waist was still tied to the chair, he tried to grab me but I moved back so he toppled onto the floor. I chuckled at his action. " Sorry Mr Jae but there's no way of getting out of this" Seonmi said. I had enough of this nonsense and I wanted to kill him badly but not without knowing what I want to know. I suddenly stamped on his hand with my high heel boot causing him to whimper in pain. I said "TELL US." I kicked him in his stomach which made him cough out blood. He finally cracked and said" O-OK! O-OK! I'll tell you" I stopped thrashing him and listened " Your r-rank in t-the m-mafia world kept increasing and I kept g-going lower and lower so I d-decided to g-get you killed so y-you won't be i-in my way anymore" he said while groaning.

I walked up to him, my blood boiled, he started dragging himself going backwards while sitting trying to escape but I kept going closer and closer. I took out my gun from my pocket and without further discussion shot him right in his head and Haneul shot another at his chest. " Yess" we all said together. We headed out and I told my men to discard Eunwoo's body somewhere. After all that the girls and I decided to go for a special dinner to celebrate our victory. Ok girls dinner's on me what do you want to eat.

Chanmi- oooh let's get some tteokbokki 

Areum- don't forget kimchi 

Seonmi- and Mandu 

Haneul- you guys how could you............ forget about jjajangmyeon 

Su Byeol- OK I'll go order now.

We ate and talked and kept a low profile becausewe didn't want to draw to much attention to ourselves. Out of nowhere I heardgunshots, we became alert and headed towards the sound. I tookout my gun so did the others. So much for keeping a low profile. My eyes wentwide to who I was seeing standing in front of me It was...................Aeri. She's in mymath class so I immediately recognized her, pretty nice girl, but what was shedoing and with a gun in her hands...???
