AU: Modern, Still at Welton but instead it's a boarding school for girls and boys. And Mr. Keating's the headmaster, and English teacher...3rd Person POV
All of the dead poets had taken their sweatshirts, somehow got the writing: Welton Academy off of it. And had replaced it with: DEAD POETS SOCIETY. Crossed off the the 4 pillars and replaced it with: CaRpe DieM, the boys only realised that they had done capital C, R, D, M but that didn't really matter, they had left the books untouched but they got off the sketch of Welton and put some (really bad) drawings of people standing on tables. Todd's was actually kind of good. Cameron's was a stick man. They had replaced the writing on the crest and put: O CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN. Overall the sweatshirts looked pretty good.Today it was snowing, so everyone showed up in their sweatshirts, kind of. The problem was, Todd's sweatshirt, looked massive on him, and Neil's was way to small. The boys ignored it. On their way to class they got a few stares but they didn't mind. They got to Mr. Keating's class, Mr Keating smiled slightly.
It had eventually gotten to the point where it became regular for the boys to wear their sweatshirts. And it was regular for Todd's sweatshirt to be to big, and Neil's to be to small. The boys were relaxing in the study room when Charlie decided to bring it up.
"Hey Neil?" Charlie asked and Neil responded with a "hm?"
"Why's your sweatshirt so small on you?" Charlie questioned curiously. Todd and Neil exchanged a glance before Neil answered:
"It's not mine." Neil smiled at Charlie then continued to listen to Meeks explain about trig.
"Well what about you Todd?" Charlie questioned furrowing his eyebrows.
"What?" Todd replied not looking away from his trig homework.
"Why's your sweatshirt so big?" Charlie asked still confused.
Todd let out a snort before answering: "It's not mine." Todd smiled and like Neil continued to listen to Meeks.
That's when it hit him, Todd and Neil we're dating. Charlie looked under the table where the 3 were sitting at and saw that his 2 best friends were holding hands.
"Oh my god!" Charlie screamed at a high-pitch tone.
Todd and Neil laughed at the reaction of Charlie finding out about the two.
"Wait what?" Knox questioned with a confused expression on his face.
"Can I tell them?" Charlie asked smiling at the two. Neil glanced at Todd and he nodded.
"Me and Todd are dating." Neil smiled.
The boys looked particularly excited at the new couple.
"Ok, that's cool." Pitts said.
5 Years After They Graduate
"Hey Todd?" Neil called out from their bedroom. It was a Monday meaning Neil had to go to work while it was Todd had taken leave off of work."Yeah?" Todd called back, Todd was on the couch watching friends cuddled up in at least 5 blankets, it was a cold winter!
"Have you seen my sweatshirt?" Neil asked running down the stairs with his costume, he was auditioning for a reproduction of "Much Ado About Nothing" (I'm sorry I don't know.)
Neil smiled at his fiancé who was cuddled up on the couch with his sweatshirt on.
"Sorry, it smelt like you and it was warm and-." Todd apologised
"You're rambling." Neil smiled as he sat near Todd who had woken up long before him.
"Sorry, do you want it back?" Todd asked sadly.
"Have it for the day, I'll just wear yours, sorry, good morning my love." Neil said pecking Todd's cheek making him giggle.
"Morning." Todd smiled.
Neil kissed him again.
"Blow them away at your audition." Todd yelled out as Neil walked out the door.
"Will do!" Neil yelled back smiling.
Just idiot boyfriends who steal each other's sweatshirts.
