Ava's POV
"Ugh , I have enough with your stupid charade to my sister , Asch! Apologise to her as I said!" I yelled at Asch who remained seated on the couch after knowing what ever happen in my apartment.
"Why should I? The peasant should knew her place." "She's my sister! Not to mention , a sorceress's sis-" "Then, why you and her had a arguement lately? She disagreed with your ideas , that's why. She chose not to follow the path for being a sorceress like you." Asch said bluntly while I stood there numb.
"Hey , what's going on , my diamond?" I turned my head and found Shu standing behind me with a bag of groceries. "Shu! Where have you been?!" "Meh , just grab some groceries by the store and I just met my seniors and I probably won't be the one taking the Daemos out." She smiled which fueled up my anger. "But you promised me that you would take them out!" "But I had to do it! The performance was after 1 week."
"You see what I meant now? She disagrees with you , she chose to close her ears for every single opinion of yours. But for those stupid gypsy related stuff , her ear was widely opened. You really should had upgrade your powers , Sorceress Ava." "Well , my powers were strong enough to hold you demons off , that's enough for me!" I yelled as Rhys corrected me by yelling 'Daemos!'
"Achoo."
I turned and found Shu's face turned a bit red than before. "Shu , are....you alright?" "Y-Yeah , I'm just... overtired....I would be-" She suddenly stopped talking as her body suddenly tilt to the wall as support. I quickly placed my hand on her forehead , realising how hot was it. "Didn't you bring a umbrella with you?" "I never thought it would rain so badly..... Achoo!" She said while rubbing her own temples. "Come on , I will take you to your room." I said while hold her by the arm , taking her back to her room for rest.
Leif's POV
Was she alright? Why her face gone so red? Was she dying?
"Well , you're eventually ill and I think I should...lock the door for you like old times?" I pecked through Ava's Cray-O-La box , noticing Sorceress Ava had locked Shu's chamber's door and left to her chamber for rest.
I walked towards the door , trying to turn open the knob but found it hard to turn. "What the.... Well , looks like I have to phase in the room." I mumble to myself as I phased into her room. I phased into her room and found her standing by the railing of her balcony with the accompany of her spirit, Gobi. "Look to the stars, my darling baby boys~ " She hummed as she hugged the spirit in her arms.
"Life is strange and vast, filled with wonders and joys~" She hummed while sat on a chair , rocking back and forward. "Face each new sun with eyes clear and true~"She sang while raised her arm into the air "Unafraid of the unknown, because I face it all with you~" She hummed softly while leaning against the back of her chair.
"That's amazing." I complimented her voice which gave her some fright for noticing me here for so long. "H-How did you- Didn't Ava lock the door?!" "Well , I phased in." "Y-You shouldn't be here. Leave." I tilt my head for confusion. "Leave I sai- A....Achoo!" Suddenly , a lightning strike on my feet , causing me to yelp in pain.
Wait- Where did the lightning come from....
I look at Shu who soon pushed me out of her chamber , slamming shut again. "Leave!" She yelled as the atmosphere turned silent. "Y-You shouldn't see that....." "Shu.... Just let me in.... Maybe... I could help you..." "It's just.... A supernatural thing , I don't want to spread this widely. I hurt you.... Can't you see?" I phased in her chamber once again , kneeling one knee in front of her who's hugging her legs tightly.
"Are you kidding me? This is amazing!" She looked at me confusingly. "W-What are you talking about?" "Asch had doubts on you since he called you a gypsy , but look at you! You have magic , just like us!" She looked at me and looked back to the ground. I raised her chin , making her eyes having contact with mine.
"You have to , I hate seeing Asch ditched you like that , I was pissed but I can't do anything since-" She suddenly engulfed into my arms , holding me tightly. "S-Shu?" "T-Thanks , Leif..... For caring about me...." I snaked my arms around her back , feeling her warmth.
We then have a quite nice conversation , there are several times that Gobi came to interrupt us but that problem was handled by Shu herself. "You know , you do have a nice vocal as a Siren." "T-Thanks , my mother used to sing that to me when I was a kid. That's the only thing I remember about her."
Shu's POV
"You still have memories of your birth parents?" Leif asked while got closer to me. "Hmm , I suppose. I'm quite the infamous kid in the family portrait. My father was a herbalist while my mother was a foreign who works as a baker." I said proudly while fiddling the moon pendant.
"Are you....actually okay now?" "Yeah , perhaps I just overworked. My energy ran out for not sleeping too much." Suddenly, Leif crawled onto my bed , leaning his back against the headboard. "What are you- E!" I squealed as Leif dragged me to him , letting me leaning on his chest while he rested his head on my shoulder.
"Leif! What are you- Leif?" I kept on questioning him until I heard small snores coming out from his mouth. I did tried to escape his grasp but who knows a grip of a Daemos could be so powerful?
I failed.
I remained in my position which was between Leif's legs and his arms around my waist. I soon felt sleepy as I sat there , daydreaming. I managed to set Leif in a sleeping position while I moved myself to the couch nearby and just slept there.
Ava's POV
While swiping my phone in my bed , a thunder sound had made me accidentally let go of my phone and smack it on my face. I walked out of the room and decided to check on Shu.
I opened the door and found Shu sleeping there? I shook her body , questioning her why in the world she's sleeping here.
"Oh , Leif's in my room. He just slept on my bed since he's tired so I guess it's no problem for me to sleep here." She chuckled while adjusting her hoodie.
Ding Dong
Shu grabbed her phone and gasped screaming "I'm late , I'm late!". I suppose that it's her seniors urging her to attend for rehearsal. While she make tea like usual , I quietly slipped a small umbrella into her bag without her noticing , just in case something happen again.
"Love you , diamond. Gotta go!" She gave me teddy bear hug and left for her busy work.
I chuckled while feeling the warmth of her body around me.
Like old times huh?....
*Flashback*
"Sis?" I opened the door slightly, found Shu who's studying for her test , like usual.
"Don't mind if I have a night here?" "What's the matter , Ava? Is it too dark in your room?" I immediately disagree with her , saying that is to save electricity.
"Yeah sure , you can have your night on my bed." "Can we....cuddle for a moment?" I asked awkwardly, believing that she wouldn't since it's so cringe. But instead , a pair of warm arms wrapped around my body.
I looked up and found her cuddling me with her blanket wrapped around me as well. "Come on , sis. Just sleep , you'll be fine. Trust me." She said while hummed a tune that drove me into slumber......
