Second person's POV
The night falls, the Daemos were now guarding the possible space where the kidnapper might have their welcome.
But , this kidnapper knew all along. They knew that this landscape will have some surprises waiting for them. So , they will gift them something more special.
They ascend from the skies , watching the Daemos leaning their backs against the windows. 'Seems like my fame has gone too much...' They thought as they pulled out some glitter looking dust in their grasp and blew it with the flow of the wind.
As the wind blew directly into the window , the Daemos fell onto the ground from their position as the lights around the city was extinguish.
They smirked by another successful yet heartbreaking incident was again going to happen. "Come little children
I'll take thee away~Into a land of enchantment~ ," They sang as the kids rose from their beds and rushed to their windows."Come little children~ The time's come to play~Here in my garden of shadows~" The kids instead was full with joy when they saw the kidnapper.
"Follow sweet children~I'll show thee the way~Through all the pain~And the sorrows~ , " As the lyrics was sang out , children woke up from the voice coming their open wide window , "Weep not poor children~ For life is this way~ Murdering beauty and passions~"
Children that's in the radius within 10 meter were all willing to walk their locked door and seek for this amazing singer. They soon realised another way out , the windows.
They pushed the windows open widely , letting a cold breeze blew towards them. They hold the frame of the window tightly in their grasp as they jumped out of the window. Instead of falling down to the ground , they flew , they flew high in the skyline.
Almost every kid had joined the team , except for the ones who had doubts or the smarter ones that thought of their family. The kidnapper was very unpleasant with this option they choose.
One of the kids , was Marlene.
She's innocent , but she's quite a clever one. She was indeed amazed by the scene out there. But , she had Ava's words in her head , the kidnapper looked at the wide open window and decided to do the work by themselves.....
Marlene's POV
"Ava , why grandma let you bring me in your apartment?" I looked at Ava who set me on bed with one of her friends in her room.
"Your grandma was quite busy these days , you will only be staying here for a night. Okay?" , She said with a pat on my head , turning to the dark skin man , "Rhys , can you keep an eye on her? I'm gotta clean myself up." The man nodded as Ava pushed me softly on her bed.
"Marlene , you're a smart girl. Promise me , don't walk to the window whatever you heard. Pinkie promise?" I did the pinkie promise and she left to the bathroom.
Then , a creak sound had startled me from my unicorn dreams. I climb up from bed and found Ava's friend has laid lazily by the window.
I walked to the window by a beautiful singing voice as I saw many kids as my age was flying in the sky like magical fairies in the books Grandma would tell me about.
If they can do so , that means that I have magic to be a fairy too! But.... I have made a pinkie promise with Ava. She would be angry of me and maybe she wouldn't make any more sleeping parties in her place anymore....
"Marlene~" I turned and found a goddess standing by the bed. She was glowing like a star in the sky. "W-Who are you?" "Me? The goddess of the moon. I'm here to take you to a world where you can have unicorn dreams and rainbows all day." She said while flew to me and put her hand on my shoulder.
"Unicorns? They're weal?!" She nodded , which makes me more exciting than ever. "But.... Ava will be angrwie. I shouldn't be here." I said sadly. The goddess looked at me and smiled , "Marlene , sweetie, adults were lying, you should deserve more than ever , but the adults wouldn't. They trapped you in the cage , on the moon , in my palace , you can have as many cake as you want , as many unicorns as you want."
The goddess said while looking at the window. "Join me.... And you wouldn't regret your choice..." She said while placing her hand on my forehead and drew a crescent shape , putting me in slumber....
Second person's POV
As the kidnapper , or the goddess of the moon as they call themselves , drew the crescent on Marlene's forehead , the spark in Marlene's eyes disappeared. They held their hand , walking towards the window , "Come with me , Marlene... Think what we can do together...." The kidnapper manipulate her as they jumped out of the window.
"Hush now dear children~It must be this way~ , " Marlene then watch her similar age friends flying happily in the sky, she jumped out the window , "Too weary of life~And deceptions~ , " The kidnapper smiled while held Marlene's hand in theirs as a stair opened towards the moon , "Rest now my children~ For soon we'll away~ Into the calm and the quiet" They sang while walked up to the stairs.
But there's really something the kidnapper doesn't know , there's a human who haven't fall for their sleeping dust.
The powerful sorceress herself , Ava.
She walked out from her comfortable relaxing bath as she noticed Marlene has gone on her bed. She found the window next to the sleeping Rhys was wide opened. She quickly opened the door of her room as she found Marlene walking on a golden coloured stairs with glowing effects next to the kidnapper.
"Marlene! Come back!" Ava yelled with tears , hoping Marlene come back from the sky. The kidnapper looked at the only adult that's awake now and Marlene who's looking at Ava with her spark coming back.
"Come little children~ I'll take thee away~ Into a land of enchantment~ , " They hummed as Marlene looked back at the kidnapper as her spark was once again gone , "Come little children~ The time's come to play~ Here in my garden of shadows~" They hummed as they grabbed Marlene's hand , towards to the moon....
Ava's POV
I looked at the figures who walked towards the moon and collapsed onto the ground. Tears fell on my pyjamas pants as I cried for not able to protect Marlene.
"Ava? Did we..." I turned and found Noi who scratching his head and has sweats on his forehead. "HOW CAN YOU SLEEP!? MARLENE WAS TAKEN AWAY!" I yelled at Noi while grabbing him by the collar and sobbed. "Ava , we didn't mean too! It's just.... A gust of wind blew to us and just...." Rhys said while he also had some sweats on his forehead and his eyes reflects fear.
I looked at the others who had similar features with Noi and Rhys. "Did you all...had a nightmare?" I asked as they looked away nervously. "I-I'm sorry... What happened in your dream..." "Well , we dreamt us running in the desert and someone.... appeared..." I looked at them with eyes of shock. "You have the same dream?" "I guess so...." Rhys mumbled...
"Who was the person in your dreams?" "They're so terrifying..... They know it all. They know everything...." I looked at the royal pain in my butt who was now sitting on the couch full of fear. I have never seen him like that....
"Who was that in your dreams?" I asked.
They looked at each other and answered ,
"Shu."
