I decided to take a walk out in the woods to clear my mind.
I went on the trail I always go on. I brought our lawnmower out and mowed this path a few years ago. I use it so much the plants haven't really been able to grow back with me stomping all over them. It was dusk so some fireflies lit up the trees. Bushy leaves hung above me and vines looped below the treetops. If I weren't so short I would be able to grab the vines, but I'm only 5,2. I padded down the path going further until I reached a part I hadn't been on in a while. It had become overgrown and I had to push through the brush a bit. As I continued walking I began to realize I lost the path.
I had zoned out? When?
I was going in circles trying to find where I was. I looked around trying to figure out where to go but each way looked the same.
I heard a voice say, "It's going to be okay. Calm down."
I must be going crazy. I'm hearing things.
My head was spinning. I was confused, lost, and it was dark. I felt warm tears fill my eyes.
I fell down to the ground, grabbing my knees. I pulled my knees into my chest and started to do my breathing exercises as tears streamed down my cheeks.
My mom had told me if I was ever worried, scared, or panicked that focusing on breathing should help. Right now I was all three.
I rested my head on my knees and closed my eyes as I began to count.
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
I counted as I tried to breath in slowly. Then held my breath for 3.
1 2 3
I began to let out my breath slowly.
5 4 3 2 1
I repeated it a few times and I slowly let go of my knees, lifting my head once more.
I heard the voice again. However, this time I saw where it came from. There was a tall man who was semi transparent. He was wearing a Hawaiian shirt with flowers and was floating off the ground a bit. He was really tall. Like a whole foot and a half taller than me. Although I'm short so I guess that's not saying much.
"Hi?" I murmured.
"Hello!" He said cheerfully with a bright smile as he brought his hand up in a wave. After violently shaking his hand in the air at me he stuck his hand out to help me up.
His voice had a slight echo and he smelled like dust. I wearily reached my hand out and he felt real. But the back of my mind still said I'm hallucinating. His hand felt soft and like it would crumble if I pulled too hard as he helped me up. It seemed like his skin was made of dust. Maybe even his whole body. I stood up and brushed off my shorts, brushing a hand through my messy hair.
"You're... real?" I managed to say though my astonishment.
"As real as I could ever be!" He grinned, "Although not very alive, haha!"
"Oh. Okay then... uh, what's you name I guess?"
"My name is Ranboo, but sometimes other ghosts call me Mr. Boo."
"Ghosts?"
"Yeah, although most people can't hear or see me. They can only feel me. I am very much surprised you can both see and hear me."
"Well, my parents are gonna get so worried. I need to find my way home."
"I saw where you came from I can maybe help!"
Ranboo then grabbed my hand and dragged me into the bushes. Thorns poked into my legs and my shorts had gotten thistles in them. I yelped in pain but I don't think he heard. We arrived back to the overgrown part of my path that I recognized.
"I- thanks?"
"No problem new friend! I will stay with you to make sure you get home safely then I will leave, human."
"My name is Tubbo by the way."
"Okay Tubbo, let's bring you home!"
We walked down the path pretty fast. We quickly got to the more traveled part of the path.
We soon got to my backyard where my mom was sitting on a porch chair to the right of the door with what looked like lemonade in her hand.
She nodded a greeting at me and I waved back. I looked back to see Ranboo turning back to the forest.
How did she not see him? He mustn't be real. This has to be a dream. Why can't my mom see him? Why can I see this ghost at all? Am I going crazy? What did he mean by most people can't hear or see him? Is that why my mom can't see him?
I go inside. It's kind of hot inside compared to the cool night air.
The house smells of flowers a bit. It's actually quite a nice smell. I open my window and and take a deep breath as the fresh, crisp, autumn air fills my room.
I soon fall asleep and I dream of Ranboo.
~+~
I dreamt of us laying in a flower fields. We made each other flower crowns and got to know each other. He was very kind. I hope I see him again.

Thanks for reading uh I didn't think I would get this chapter done so soon but I guess I did. I went skating with some of my friends and while I was holding hands with one they fell backwards and I came with them. I wrote the last half of this chapter and revised the whole thing on a headache so that's fun 😀👍
Here's a picture I made of the forest. It's not the best lol but its pretty cool.
