Friend
I have this long life friend
They were my mothers too
I had to be with them everywhere
And I thought they needed me tooThey helped me to laugh
When I did nothing but cry
They drifted me off to sleep
Better than a sweet lullabyI tried so hard to find other friends
Better than the one I had
But at the end of the day
Staying away just made me feel badI go away on trips with them
They tell me stories you wouldn't believe
They showed me how to live my life
And for the past I should not grieveI cuddle them too sleep each night
They don't mind it at all
And no matter how much I manage to grow
They seem to stay just as smallThey didn't change my life
But the fact still does remain
That they shaped, moulded and fulfilled my life
That's what kept me truly saneFor some time when I was young
They were abused, neglected, in pain
But now that I am older
I've learnt that they really don't like the rainThey are always with me now
And for them I'll always plead
Books are my survival
and what I'll always need////////////////////////////////////////////////Hello minna. Books are really important to me as you can probably tell. I can really just get lost with them and obsess over the little worlds they have and the characters that we love :) You are what you read
