As Nyx and Bucky begin to walk out, Fury walks in front of the group to make an announcement, "Stark, Banner, start working to find the location of the army. Romanoff, Rodgers, Wilson, Maximoff, Thor, and Parker, head to the training room. I know you are all rusty so begin training, and do not hold back. We don't know how strong these people are. We need to be prepared for anything and everything." Fury concluded, as he walked away, towards his helicopter. Everyone nods, and begins to do what they are told.
~With Nyx and Bucky~
"Where are we going?"
"Relax Barnes, you'll see soon enough." Nyx said as she observed the city.
"Why can't you just teleport?"
"Because, I've been in a cell for years. I forgot how the city looks." Nyx said as she stopped to look at him. "I just want to admire it, that's all. I'd hope that you, out of all people, would understand."
Bucky sighs and motions her to keep walking.
"Did they change that park?" Nyx asked as they turned their heads to look at the park.
"Hm, I never really noticed."
"That bench....that's new." Nyx said, remembering her favorite park she used to play in when she was little.
"Come on soldier, we're here." Nyx smiles as she begins to turn around and she is not standing in front of a restaurant.
"Y-you wanted to take me to a restaurant?" Bucky asked confusedly why this is where she wanted to go, out of all places.
"It's not just any restaurant, Barnes." Nyx said, as she walks in and an older lady looks at her shocked.
"N-Nyx! Oh my come here, my sweet baby."
Nyx and the older lady engage in a hug. Bucky shifts on his feet awkwardly, wondering who this lady is. Once they pull from the hug, Nyx notices that she's crying, "Oh mom, don't cry! You're going to make me cry." Nyx said as she began to wipe the tears from her mothers eyes.
"I'm sorry Nyxie, I just haven't seen you in so long. I don't even know if you're real."
"I am real mom." Nyx said with a smile as her mother saw a tall figure behind her.
"Oh Nyxie, you brought your boyfriend! Is this the one who kept going on and on about?" Nyx's mother asked, as she walked over to Bucky, engaging him in a hug.
Bucky awkwardly hugs her tiny figure back while looking at Nyx, seeing her laugh. He never heard her laugh before, like genuinely laughing. Bucky knows that there's more to her story than anyone is telling him.
"No mommy, that's not him. That is my....my friend Bucky Barnes."
"Oh. Hello Bucky, I'm Eloise, it's a pleasure!"
"Hi, Ms.Solus. It's nice to meet you too."
"Mom, can we have a table?"
"Yes. Yes! Of course. Here, sit." Eloise guides them to a table and she gives them menus, while they are sitting down on opposite sides of each other.
"Nyxie, do you want your favorite?" Eloise shouted from the kitchen.
"Yes mom." Nyx shouted back, as Bucky began to stare her down.
"You want something, or are you going to stare at me." Nyx tilts her head, waiting for an answer.
"I'll have the same!" Bucky shouted to Eloise in the kitchen.
