~Flashback to 2015, after Nyx got captured~
Nyx's eyes flutter open as she feels her body burning. She slowly looks down to see wires all around, with blue and black fluids, flowing into her body.
Her senses kick back in and she starts moving around in the chair to try to loosen the straps.
As she is moving around she begins to yell, "DAD! I know you can hear me!!"
Just as she said that, the doors open and 2 guards walk in first and behind them is Richard.
"Oh sweetie, you're awake!" Richard says as he begins to look over the fluids going into her body.
"What are you doing to me?" Nyx asked as she shut her eyes, due to the burning she felt.
"Didn't I tell you I was going to make you my greatest creation yet?"
"What did you put in me!?" Nyx yelled as she threw her head back, in pain.
"Relax, we're getting to that darling." Richard said as he motioned the two guards to go over to him.
"Bring the second dose of the modification." Richard ordered them.
The guards nodded their heads and made their way out to grab the modifications.
"Okay Nyxie, I know you have questions so go ahead." Richard said as he pulled up a chair right in front of her and sat down.
"What are these fluids you keep giving me?"
"Oh that. That blue one is a modification of the infamous super soldier serum, you're going to get the second dose after this is done. " He explained
"So I'm going to be like Steve?"
"Yes."
"Oh. What's the other one?"
"Well I don't know if you know but, your name Nyx stands for the goddess of night. Now since we can't make you a goddess, I did the next best thing." He said with a smile creeping up on his face.
"And that is?"
"I gave you the powers of shadows." He said with a huge amusing grin.
"Shadows?"
"Yes."
"I don't get it."
"Don't worry, with training you'll be just fine."
Nyx rolled her eyes, and took a deep breath before speaking.
"Why are you doing this?"
"Doing what?"
"Alright don't play dumb. Why did you fake your death, then literally kidnap me? I'm sure mom is worried about where I am." Nyx told him as she began to worry about her mom.
Richard laughed in her face. "You think I care what Eloise thinks?"
Nyx shrugged, " I don't know, do you? You seem pretty determined to have me."
"I do not. Anyway, I faked my death because people were trying to kill me."
"Clearly they didn't do a good job." Nyx muttered.
"They threaten to kill you. So I had to make it seem like they won, but in reality I won."
"Did you though?" Nyx retorted.
