My alarm went off, "BEEP BEEP BEEP" it yelled. I looked at the time and I had to hurry. Why you may ask, because today I got to go on a reality T.V show called Total Drama Island. I was nervous but really excited. I got out of bed and got ready. I got on my usual clothes that you would see me in, a black corset topped off with a blue and green long sleeve. I put on my tights and fixed my midnight blue and black hair. Not too fancy though, I don't want to make a wrong impression. I packed my bag and headed down stairs, my aunt was down there in the kitchen preparing a feast! I only wanted cereal and toast. When she saw me she ran to give me a hug, a very suffocating hug. Did I mention I have lived with my aunt sense 5 years ago, well now you know. I pushed her away from the hug and sat down at the table, she brought over eggs, sausage, waffles with syrup and strawberries. I was hungry so I shoved the food in my mouth. " I'm so excited for you sweetie!" She said, With my mouth full of food I managed to get " I'm excited too" out of my mouth. My aunt had been trying to get me out of the house since summer had begun. I don't know why though. When I told her I was going to audition for the show she flipped out, she kept saying "Finally! You want to do something!". Yes, it was annoying but I went along with it. The day after I recorded my audition I got a phone call, I picked it up and asked " Who is this?" The man on the other end of the line said " I'm Chris McLean, and I'm looking for Gwen." "This is she" I responded. "Well congratulations Gwen you're going to be on the show." Chris said, he gave me the location of where the show was going to be. I hung up and my aunt looked at me, excited and waiting for the news. " I got in." I told her. She already had a bag for me and gave me a suffocating hug. I was about to die before I pushed her away. Back to the present time, I finished my food and went to brush my teeth. After that I went back down stairs and my aunt told me "You know what would be fun?" I asked "What?" " I can drive you to where you're supposed to be!" I didn't want to disappoint her and say no, she wasn't going to be able to see me for 8 weeks and I didn't want to get embarrassed when I was there, at the dock. "Sure" I replied nervously. I didn't know what she was going to do when she dropped me off. She busted out with excitement and ran to get the keys for her car. I wasn't supposed to be at the dock early but I assume there are already people there. It was a long drive to get to where I was supposed to be, 2 hours to be exact. When we got there I got out of the car but my aunt stopped me for a second. "Be careful OK." " I will." I told her. Then I walked off to the dock, there were people there already but one of them caught my eye, he had a neon green Mohawk and a lot of piercings. His piercings glimmered in the light, they were so blinding when they reflected off into my eyes. I could barely see the guy walking towards me. "Hey gorgeous~" He said. " I couldn't see him too well. "I recommend you to stop what you're doing bad boy" I snapped back. He watched me as I walked along to the dock. I saw a couple of people there, there was a dude with a cowboy hat on and a pick unbuttoned shirt. He was very loud and annoying. I also saw a blonde haired girl that looks like Karen Smith from Mean Girls, nothing too exciting, besides that green Mohawk guy, maybe this won't be too bad after all. As the hour sped by, more people arrived at the dock. There was this annoying girl that kept talking about how she would call her lawyers if something bad happened. There was a guy that arrived last, he carried a guitar and had a green shirt, the shirt had a black hand print on it and camo sleeves. He had black hair and blue jeans on. I was the first person he looked at, his chestnut eyes met with mine and he smiled, I could feel red overflowing my face. I ducked my head down so nobody could see my cherry red face. Once everybody was there, somebody brought out a T.V and turned it onto a channel that nobody recognized. We all gathered around the T.V and greeted each other. As we were talking, a nerdy kid said "look!" with his finger pointing to the T.V. There was a countdown for 10 minutes until the show began. Water splashed onto the dock as a speedboat arrived at it. I looked back at the timer and there was only 3 minutes left. As we all waited impatiently for what's next, I decided to smoothly move over to the guitar guy. When I got next to him he said "Hey". It was very awkward at first but I replied "Hi, what's your name?" "Trent" he said. He asked for mine and I told him "Gwen". I once again looked back at the clock and there was only 30 seconds left. Stress and anxiety overcame my body and I started to have sharp breaths, it was like I couldn't breath, like I was being held underwater. Ten seconds left, people decided to act like it was new years and countdown with it. I felt something touching my hand, I quickly looked down thinking "Please don't be a bug, please don't be a bug!" Instead I saw Trent's hand grasping on mine, I didn't want to ruin the moment and pull my hand away so I just let it happen. I looked back up to see Trent's cinnamon eyes meeting with mine. He was about to say something but a short guy with a gapped tooth shushed him and pointed to the T.V. We saw the screen had gone black, we were all confused and didn't know what happened. Most of us were about to leave but suddenly the host, Chris McLean appeared on the screen and had a prickly smile widened on his face.
