Chris McLean was on the screen, he began the show with "Yo, we're coming at you live from camp Wawanawkwa! Somewhere is Maskoka Ontario, I'm your host Chris. McLean. Dropping season 1 of the hottest new reality show on television right now!" He seemed like an under-rated 40 year old man with possibly no cares in the world. I can tell that he has a whole bunch of people doing stuff for him, such as his hair. Anyways, he explained the rules and how the show is going to work. He also showed how people are going to be voted off. "Their fate will be decided here, at the dramatic campfire ceremonies where each week, all but one camper will receive a marshmallow." He paused for a moment. "In the end, only one will be left standing and will be rewarded with cheesy tabloid fame and a small fortune, which let's face it, they'll probably blow in a week." He held up a treasure chest with gold and magazines "To survive, they'll have to battle black flies, grizzly bears, disgusting camp food, and each other. Every moment will be caught on one of the hundreds of cameras situated all over the camp. Who will crumble under the pressure? Find out here, right now on... Total... Drama... Island!" The show cut to the intro and we all lined up to get on the boat. I was third in line, pressure hit me pretty hard for me, I don't know about anybody else though. First was a short nerdy girl, she had a side ponytail and a girl scout sash on. She didn't look too vulnerable, but she could be dealable. She got her bags and got onto the boat. I looked back to the T.V and saw the intro was over and Chris was back on the T.V and he was standing on the island's dock. "Welcome back to Total Drama Island. Alright, it's time to meet our first 11 campers. We told them they'd all be staying at this five star resort, so if they seem a little T.O.ed, that's probably why." I looked back to the boat and it was gone so I looked back to the T.V and it was there, on the other dock. The short girl got off the boat, "Beth, what's up?" Chris said. Beth ran up to Chris and hugged him. "It's so incredulous to meet you! Wow, you're much shorter in real life." she said. "Uh... thanks." Chris said sarcastically. As soon as the boat came back to the dock I was at the big guy in front of me got on the boat. He got his luggage and walked off to the boat. He looked a bit nervous, I heard him talking to himself about how he shouldn't be scared to be on the show. The boat took off and I looked at the T.V. The boat pulled up and the big guy got off. "D.J!" Chris said excitedly.
"Yo Chris McLean, hey are you sure you got the right place here? Where's the hot tub at?" D.J asked. Chris responded with "Yo dawg this is it! Camp Wawanakwa!" "Hm, looked a lot different in the application forms" D.J muffled to himself. Next was my turn, I waited impatiently for the boat to arrive at the dock. I began to gather my things but I dropped something. I went to pick it up but somebody got it before me. I looked up and I was eye to eye with the green Mohawk guy. Another man? Falling for me? Please, nobody would be able to fill this void I have. "You dropped this" he said. He seemed nervous. I could tell because his voice was a little bit higher than before. " I noticed." I told him. He smiled reassuringly, knowing I wont judge him for being scared because let's face it, we all were scared to be on T.V. "My name is Duncan by the way" He told me. "Gwen" I told him. I held out my hand for him to shake it. The boat arrived at the dock and I got on. I looked back at the dock I was just standing on knowing that my reality is finally over and things are going to change as soon as I get spotted by one of Chris McLean's cameras. I smiled and told the captain to go. Wind was blowing in my face and my sweaty skin became cold. I felt a chill run up my spine. To get rid of it I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I opened them and realized we were almost there. I grabbed my things within a second and I was ready. The boat came to a stop and I got off. As the boat pulled away, I was revealed to the camera. I looked around at where I was and it was not as amazing as I thought. I got really annoyed for no reason. "Hey Gwen." Chris said. I walked over to Chris and told him " You mean we're staying here?" As angry as I was, I had to keep my temper down. "No, you're staying here. My crib is an Air stream with AC. That-a-way." Chris explained. "I did not sign up for this." I told him. "Actually, you did" He pulled out a document which I had signed. I decided to tear it and toss it into the water. "The great thing about lawyers is, they make lots of copies" He said, pulling out another document with a mischievous smile across his face. At this point I was super annoyed and told him " I am not staying here" I grabbed my bags and I was about to get on the boat. "Cool, hope you can swim though because your ride just left." Chris said. I turned and saw the boat going back to the other dock. I was trying to process an insult but all I could think of was: "Jerk". I began to slowly walk over to where D.J and Beth were standing. I didn't realize how tall D.J was until I stood next to him. I could hear the boat arriving in the distance. Loud music was playing and a guy was standing near the edge of the boat. It was the guy with the pink shirt from earlier. He got off the boat "Chris McLean! 'Sup man! It's an honor to meet you, man!" The guy said. "The Geoff-ster. Welcome to the island, man." Chris said. "Thanks man" Geoff said. "If they say "man" one more time, I'm gonna puke." I exaggerated. The boat came back to our dock and a blonde girl with long hair, a blue headband, cowgirl boots, and a slim body arrived. "Everybody, this is Lindsay." Chris said. He was obviously falling head over heels for a 16 year old girl, isn't he 40? "Not too shabby" Chris said to the cameras. I really didn't want to pay attention to the girl but I looked back to the boat and it was driving back to the other dock. "Hiiiiii, okay you look so familiar." Lindsay said. Chris told her "I'm Chris McLean." there was a pause "The host? Of the show?" He finished off with. "Oh that's where I know you from." Lindsay stupidly said. "Uh...yeah" Chris said. The boat arrived, a girl with black hair, a red crop-top, and green booty shorts stepped onto the dock. She was already looking like trouble. "...Heather" Chris muffled. Beth ran over to Heather and said "Hi! Looks like we're your new friends for the next 8 weeks!" Beth had braces, which meant she had a lisp so every time she spoke saliva spat out of her mouth. Heather was disgusted and took a step back from Beth. In the distance we heard loud rock music coming from the boat. It was Duncan. The boat came to a stop and Duncan hopped off throwing his bag on the ground first. He looked angry. "Duncan! Dude!" Chris yelled. "I don't like surprises." Duncan said, holding his fist up. "Yeah your parole officer warned me about that man, he also told me to give him a holler any time and have you return to juvie." Chris said. "Juvenile huh? This is going to be fun" I thought to myself. Duncan sniffed and said "Ok then" He began walking towards me and said "Meet you by the campfire gorgeous~" I replied with "Don't test me juvie". Heather walked to the end of the dock, "I'm calling my parents. You can not make me stay here" she said. Chris held up a document that Heather had signed, he had a troublesome smile widened on his face. We all glanced at where the boat was coming from. "Ladies and gentleman, Tyler!" Chris yelled. Tyler was on the back of the boat, water skiing. I'm guessing he was just trying to impress some of the people there. Tyler waved to the people on our dock as his skis ripped out from underneath his feet. He tumbled into a ball and glided across the water like a rock until he hit a ramp and flew up into the air. He landed safely, in Heather's luggage. One of Heather's bags landed in the lake and dunked Heather with water. "Ugh, my shoes!" Heather yelled. Chris yelled to Tyler "Wicked wipe out man!" Tyler shot an arm out from where he was buried under Heather's bags and gave everybody a thumbs up. Behind me, D.J and Geoff smiled at each other. Heather was soaking wet, Chris snickered. We all heard a very loud sigh and looked towards Chris. We saw a nerdy guy with orange hair, a hamburger shirt, and cacky pants. "Welcome to camp Harold." Chris said. Harold was looking around, seeing what there was to offer. "What's he looking at?" Beth asked. "So, you mean this show is at a crappy summer camp, and not on some big stage or something?" Harold said. "You got it." Chris replied. "Yes! That is so much more favorable to my skills." Harold exclaimed. Chris looked at the camera and made a disgusted face. The boat came back and the next camper arrived. It was Trent. Chris started talking "Contestant number nine is-" "Trent." I finished his sentence off. Trent looked at me but I had to look away. I can't show anybody I had feelings for somebody already. Trent looked at Chris and began to say "Hey, good to meet you man! Saw you on that figure skating show, nice work!" "Hey thanks man, I knew I rocked that show!" Chris said. " I saw that! One of the guys dropped his partner or her head, they got immunity that way." Beth added. "Lucky, I hope I get dropped on my head." Harold said. "Me too." Lindsay mentioned. Trent looked at the group of people standing in front of him. "So, this is it?" He asked. I looked around too and I saw Heather still ringing out her hair from the water that got in it. "Alrighty then." Trent announced. He began to walk over to me. I was frightened. I looked to my left to see Duncan holding up a fist to Trent. I giggled at Duncan's fierceness. Trent got beside me and he smiled in my direction. I turned my head in the other direction with a scowl. I thought the cameras weren't in my direction so I smiled at Trent. The boat came back with a blonde girl, she had a blue jacket on, she also had jean shorts on. Her hair was put in a neat ponytail. The girl had a bag and a surfboard in her hands. "Hey, what's up?" She greeted us with a smile. "Our surfer chick, Bridgette, is here." Chris said creepily. I looked around, knowing somebody will make fun of Bridgette. And I was right. Duncan scoffed and said. "Nice Board, this ain't Malibu honey." "I thought we were gonna be on a beach." She replied. "We are!" Chris said. Bridgette sighed and mumbled "Great." Chris began talking "Alright that makes-" He got interrupted by Bridgette's surfboard hitting his head. "Ow darn it! That hurt!" He yelped. Bridgette walked over to a group of boys and began talking to them. "Hey, guys." She says. "Hey! I'm Geoff!" Geoff said. Bridgette needed a better view of Geoff, so she turned around and said "Hey, what's up?" "Dang! Watch the board man!" Harold exclaimed. Beth came running up to Bridgette and said "Hi! I'm Beth!" Bridgette turned around to Beth and said "Hey!" Bridgette almost knocked some of the boys off the dock again. "Okay, we've all met surfer girl, can we get on with the show please?" Heather asked impatiently. "Someone missed their double cappuccino macchiato this morning." Duncan said mockingly. "Get bent." Heather replied. Chris interrupted to say "Our next camper is, Noah!" A short guy, about the height of a third grader, stepped onto the dock. He had a red shirt with a white shirt under it. He also had jeans on with some camo shoes. His hair was cut to his shoulders, it had a brownie color to it. "You got my memo about my life threatening allergies?" Noah asked. "I'm sure someone did!" Chris told him. "Cool, is this where we're staying?" Noah asked. Duncan stepped into the conversation and said "No, it's your mothers house, and were throwing a party." "Cute. Nice piercings, original, do them yourself?" Duncan grabbed Noah's bottom lip and held out a needle then told him "Yeah, you want one?" "Uh, no thanks can I have my lip back please?" Noah asked. Duncan let go of Noah's lip. "Thanks." Noah said sarcastically. I turned my attention to the next camper that was arriving. "What's up y'all? Leshawna's in the house!" I looked to my right and saw Harold eyeing Leshawna up and down. He was obviously head-over-heels for her, I giggled to myself. Leshawna hopped off of the boat and told the people on the dock "Feel free to quit now and save yourselves some trouble because I came to win." She walked over to D.J and gave him a high five. "Oh what's up my brother? Give me some sugar baby!" she said. Harold popped in and said "I've never seen a girl like you in real life before." Leshawna turned around with sas and said "Excuse me?" Oh no, this is going to be good....
