Chapter 34: Pawn

I woke up in a room I'm not familiar with. My blurry sight slowly become clear to me. Tumingin ako sa isang malaking bintana at mula rito ay ang sikat ng araw na tumatama sa aking mukha. Napapapikit ako dahil sa liwanag nito.

By the looks of it, I think it's already afternoon.

Sinubukan kong kumalas sa pagkakatali sa akin ngunit mas mahigpig ito kesa sa inaakala ko.

"Finally you're awake."

Mabilis na lumipat ang aking tingin sa lalaking nagsalita. Napatingin ako sa kaniyang mukha. I remember his face. Isa siya sa mga kasamahan ni Isaac. He's with them earlier but he's just silently watching us.

"Where am I?" tanong ko.

Bumuntong hininga siya. "You're at the Student Council room in Addison High" sagot niya.

I'm not at the Sylvian High? It can't be. It'll took almost 3 hours to reach here from Sylvian High. Why did they kidnapped me. What is their reason?

"How long was I asleep?" tanong ko.

"6 hours" agad niyang sagot habang naka pikit.

That means it's already 3pm. Red Holiday is almost at its end. Tumingin tingin ako sa paligid.

It will take me some time to find a way out here.

"Why are you doing this?" tanong ko sa kaniya.

Muli siyang bumuntong hininga bago tumayo. Sasagot na sana siya ng biglang bumukas ang pintuan.

Unang pumasok ay ang lalaking nangangalang Jase. Kasabay niya ang isa pang lalaking hindi ko kilala. Sunod na pumasok ay ang lalaki naman na nangangalang Nicolas. Panghuli ay si Isaac.

Umupo naman ang tatlo habang ang lalaking nangangalang Nicolas ay sumandal lamang sa lamesa.

"You didn't tell us she's already awake, Finneas" aniya Nicolas.

The guy named Finneas just shrugged. "She just woke up anyways"

Tumaas lamang ang kilay nung Nicolas at kinuha ang kaniyang cellphone at tila naglalaro dito. Si Jase naman ay naka headphone lang.

"Chris, nagawa mo na ba yung pinapagawa ko sayo?" tanong ni Isaac.

"Yeah, all done" sagot nung Chris.

Lahat sila ay may sariling mga mundo na tila parang wala ako dito. Who are these people and what do they want from me?

As long as I remember, they are talking about how I can be useful to them to use against Shaun. It looks like Shaun has some matters for them.

It's not totally impossible. Shaun is the 2nd most powerful assassin after me. It's typical for him to have enemies.

But unfortunately, they can't use me. Shaun will not go here. Why would he bother saving a C class. I can get out of my own. It will just take some time.

Looking at them, I know they are strong. Especially that guy named Isaac. His aura is screaming on how dangerous he is.

I tried to force myself to break the ropes but it seems like they are not some ordinary ropes. The grip is too tight that my skin are starting to become red. The more I struggle, the more tighter the grip becomes.

Shit, my skin is too red now. It's starting to bleed.

"Calm down, girl. You'll only going to hurt yourself more."

I looked at Nicolas who just spoke. I gave him a furious look.

"Shut up, asshole" ani ko.

Napatayo siya at lumapit sa akin. Mahigpit niya hinawakan ang aking braso.
