Chapter 41: Avoid

Nagising ako sa isang ospital. Agad na lumapit sa akin si Yugen nang makitang gising na ako.

"Oh my god, you're finally awake. Alam mo ba kung gaanong ako nagaala sayo?" may pagaalalang boses ni Yugen.

My eyes is still blury but I can still see her worried face. "How many hours have I been asleep?" tanong ko.

"What do you mean hours? You've been asleep for a week!" sagot niya.

Mabilis akong napatayo. What did she just said? That's impossible.

Mabilis akong tumingin kay Yugen. "Where's he? Where's Shaun? Is he okay?" tuloy tuloy kong tanong.

Kumunot ang noo ni Yugen na tumingin sa akin. " What do you mean? Yeah, he's fine. Bumalik na siya sa school five days ago pa" sagot niya.

What? Does that mean he's healed now? What happened after I lost consciousness. I don't really know what's happening but I need to talk to him.

Akmang bababa na ako nang bigla akong pigilan ni Yugen.

"What are you doing Kira. Bagong gising ka palang mula sa isang linggo mong pagtulog di kapa pwede gumalaw." aniya.

"No Yugen. I need to talk to him" pagpumilit ko.

She let out a sigh. "Sure but after this okay? I'll call the doctor to let them know that you're awake." aniya.

Even though I wanted to talk to Shaun. I remained calm and stayed on the bed just like she said. Umalis na siya upang magtawag nang doctor. I don't wanna worry her anymore.

Ilang minuto ang nakalipas nang bumukas ang pintuan. Akala ko ay si Yugen ang pumasok ngunit ibang tao pala. Lumaki ang aking mata nang makita kung sino ito.

"Kuya Kilton!" sigaw ko.

Damn, it's been so long since I've seen him.

Ngumiti ito sakin at ibinaba sa lamesa ang hawak nitong mga prutas. Nang nasa harap ko na siya ay kaagad ko siyang niyakap. He left out a small chukle after he caressed my hair.

"Kuya, I miss you" ani ko habang nakayakap parin sa kaniya.

"Yeah I know. I miss you too, my little sister" aniya.

Binigyan ko siya nang isang malaking ngiti. I'm so happy that he's here. Pumunta pa talaga siya dito galing Italy para lang kamustahin ako.

Umupo siya sa tabi ko at kumuha siya nang orange at binalatan ito.

"Now tell me what happened, little sis. What did you do to that you ended up sleeping for a week, huh? Did you know how worried mom and dad was when they found out what happened? Even Kidd is visiting you everyday." aniya.

Kuya Kidd did? I know how busy he is on his career. Also mom and dad, I hope mom didn't found out that we used her code.

"It's a long story, Kuya. It's about Shaun Darshall" sagot ko.

Tumango tango naman siya. "You're mission?"

Umiling ako. I don't know if I should tell him but my guts is saying yes. I don't wanna lie to him. It's not like he's gonna tell our parents. I know them.

In the end, I told him what happened. From the start that I told Yugen to use our mom's code to being caught off guard again which leads me here now.

He's only listening to what I'm saying. That's what I like about my Kuya Kilton. Whenever I tell him stories, he will only listen until I finished. Unlike Kiya Kidd who always showers me with questions every mid sentence.
