Maya fell back into the pillow as Josh smiled at her. He looked at the clock on the wall as he sighed looking back at his wife.

"You're doing amazing, Love," Josh said gently stroking over her arm.

"Indeed she is. Okay, Maya. I need you the give me one push," the doctor said.

Counting to ten Maya pushed exhaling as she knew she was close to birth. Maya fell back on the pillow behind her head as she took a breathe looking at Josh while she gave one more push hearing a baby crying. Seeing how the doctor laid a baby girl on her chest she smiled rubbing over her dark hair.

"Hi, Sweetheart," Maya said smiling as she looked at Josh.

"Do we have a name?" the doctor asked.

"Layla Penelope," Josh said as he looked at his wife and newborn daughter.

"Hey, Layla. Hello, Baby Girl," Josh said taking her hand in his.

"Oh my gosh," Josh said as Maya smiled kissing her daughter's head.

Maya exhaled as she saw how Josh was walking around the hospital room with their baby girl in his arms. On 3 August 2023 at 2:30am, their baby girl, Layla Penelope Matthews, was born and Maya couldn't be happier about how everything had turned out. Maya shook her head as she saw Joseph and Sophia coming into the hospital room with the one month Joey.

"Sophie why are you guys here?" Maya asked.

"Joey usually wakes me for his 4:30 feeding and then I heard the news. How are you?" Sophia asked seeing the bundle in Josh's arms.

"Oh my goodness. She's adorable, you guys," Sophia said.

"Yeah she is," Maya said.

"Nice job to both of you. It takes two. How will Kayden and Jace react?" Joseph asked.

"My mother is bringing them at 10 then we'll find out," Josh said.

"Congratulations, Maya. Officially a mama to a baby girl. She's perfect," Sophia said.

"I know she is," Maya said smiling as Josh laid their daughter on her chest while she kissed her.
