Maya smiled at the slow and calm Thursday afternoon that she and her family were having. Josh had taken the day off just like previous years whenever there was something to celebrate while they just spent the day with their kids.
"I have something for you. Wait here," Josh said as he went upstairs.
"Hopefully he surprised you well today. 4 years is quite big," Amy said as Maya smiled.
"I don't need a grand gesture to know he loves me. I know it already," Maya said as Josh came back down.
"Let's see what you got her," Alan said as Maya opened the box given to her seeing a gold necklace engraved with her name.
"Josh, oh my goodness. Thank you," Maya said as she gave Josh a hug.
"Anything for you. Here, let me help you put it on," Josh said as Maya turned around.
"What did you get, Son?" Amy asked as Josh helped Maya to put the necklace on.
"Brand new camera for work but I'll definitely use it for some family pictures," Josh said.
"It's beautiful. Thank you, Boing," Maya said.
"Always. Strange how life changes, huh?" Josh asked as Maya smiled.
"It is," Maya said.
"And after this it's Kayden's birthday. Throwing him something big?" Alan asked.
"Trust Sophia Smith to throw a huge party," Maya said.
