Will writing and playing the guitar get those thoughts out of your head? Alex decides to pay a surprise visit.

Alex

In front of me, at the bar, was a glass of whiskey. I never drank distillate in front of the boys, I only tasted a few beers adding perhaps a few glasses of wine, but this time, I went to the third round showing my hidden pleasure in having something in my body with which to remove my tribulation. The awards concluded well, I didn't have to be discouraged, but deduce why my stupidity a few hours ago depressed me again. I thought it had been better not to have much eye contact with Miles and that was the reason, despite that, I needed to see him again.

12:30 am

I called Alexa on the phone to let her know that I was in a pub with the boys so she wouldn't wait for me, because I would surely come home very late. There was no major inconvenience. Nick was the one who posed his figure on the left side to question me with great concern, since he could see my face somewhat lost.

"Is everything alright?"  He raised his head directing his hand to my shoulder.

I responded smoothly, noting the effect of the drink that it was taking over a bit of me. Nick answered my words with a clear expression of concern.

"Hey, if you had a problem with Alexa that's fine, y'know? Sometimes, we are so stupid, we can't understand themhe said, trying to fathom something about me.

Indolence wasn't the case.

"Nick, everything's fineI sighed "I think I'm a bit tired.

"It's been a lot of stress for you"  he raised his eyebrows "you'd better go home.

"Yes, but first, I must make a stop"

Before finishing the alcohol in the glass, I got dizzy when I got up from the chair. I approached the man at the cash register and left the money for the glasses drunk by nick and me.

"Well, be careful"

Nick watched the swivel chair return to its original position, taking the glass with his drink to get up and go in the direction of the others. At that time, Matt, who was a table away, was insistently reflected in my action. Most of the time we sat apart as we used to go to the pub with a lot of crews; production guys, roadies, our manager Colin who was now our representative, and the new manager of the band along with the new guy; Zachery, and some girl.

Nick reached over again and put his arm around my back.

"Call me when you arrive, or any of the boys"

"Thank you" I smiled drunkenly "said goodbye for me, please."

I took the distance without someone seeing me. I hurried out to the street. I knew Matt knew. I didn't pay any more importance and immediately took off calling a taxi outside.

In the afternoon Alexa had told me that she wouldn't be able to attend as an escort to the awards, so she wanted Miles to attend in her place. When I saw him during the day and made him the invitation I knew that he would not accept if Alexa was with me. That's how it went. I told Alexa I forgot to invite Miles. It was not very credible, because she knew that he was my friend and it was strange that I was making up all this without an important reason. Anyway, I lied to both of them. I didn't want either company in that award. My guilt would grow if I hadn't been able to pretend in front of the boys, much less with Matt.
