Chapter 39

Louis' POV

I'm almost asleep before I feel the bed move. I open my eyes and Zayn's sitting up.

"What are you doing?" I ask him

"I'm gonna sleep on the couch I guess, is that okay? I mean I'll stay in-"

"That's fine." I chuckle and he nods and walks towards the door

"Night." Zayn tells me before walking out

"Are you cooking breakfast?" I question Zayn, walking into the kitchen

"Y-yea is that fine?"

"Of course it's fine," I chuckle,"Im hungry anyways."

"Is my mom awake yet?" It's already 10:00 so she should be

"Actually no, I haven't seen her.. I've been up since 8:00"

I nod and walk to the fridge, grabbing a can of Dr. Pepper and sitting at the kitchen table.

"Anything from Harry?" Zayn asks me as he finishes up the eggs

I shake my head and look down to the floor.. We've both fucked up now.

"You okay?" Zayn asks worriedly, setting a plate of bacon, eggs, and pancakes in front of me.

I shake a little,"y-yeah I'm fine." I lie

He sighs and nods, starting to eat his breakfast.

"So.. what do we do? It's too awkward and quiet.." Zayn finally says through the silence

"I honestly don't know.. I could get a job?"

"Wait- What? I thought you had a job??" He says shocked

I shake my head,"I had one about two years ago.. but now I really should get one.."

"Yea, you should.. maybe you could even start going to college before it gets too late.."

I burst out laughing,"College?! There's no way I could go to college.. I havent been to school in so long.. I'm not gonna go to a college."

"I've been going to college for almost a year, you need to start college.."

I sigh,"Fine.. maybe I will go to college, BUT until then, I need to find a job and that's what you're gonna help for."

He laughs,"Who said I'm helping you find a job??"

I grin at him,"I did."

"First we can try the mall.." Zayn tells me as we take the Exit leading towards the mall

"Okay.. what place should I try to work at??"

"Hmm, what's your favorite place at the mall?"

"Probably Zumiez.." I tell him with a smile

"Okay cool, you look good enough to work there," he smiles then pauses,"but doesn't Harry go there a lot?"

I sigh and nod,"Yea, but that doesn't matter I guess.."

"If you want to forget about him then you shouldn't work there.." Zayn presses and I roll my eyes

"Well I'm going to work there.. I'll get discounts on everything." I smile and he laughs

"Okay, my decision not yours."

We hurry inside and go straight to Zumiez.

Zayn and I walk to the register and the man greets us.

"I'd like to get an application for working here please, are you guys hiring?" I tell the man and he nods

He grabs a stapled packet to me and smiles,"Were actually in need of getting at least 2-3 more people so I'm pretty sure you'll get this."

He glances over to Zayn,"Are you wanting one as well?"

"No, no.. I'm just bringing my best mate to come get a job."

"Okay. Well I'll see you soon once you bring the application back." the man, Will, tell us

"Okay thanks!" Louis smiles at the man

He nods smiling and Zayn and I walk out.

"Ready to help me fill this out?" I ask Zayn and he groans

"No." he groans again and I laugh

Okay Hii! Well I'm gonna continue the story(: and this is kinda just a filler but it's gonna make sense later on.. I can't make a promise when I'll update next but it WILL be before Sunday! ^•^
