Chapter 22

Me and mama were watching anime in the living room. I heard the floor creaking as someone was walking behind us. I looked back to see auntie Katelyn trying to sneak out of the house. She looked at me and tried to tell me to be quiet, but mama turned to look at her. "Hey Katelyn, where are you going?" Mama asked. Auntie Katelyn was a little shocked that she had noticed before coming up with an answer. "I'm headed to the library." Auntie Katelyn said. I heard mama gasp before I turned back to watch more anime. "What! right now?" Mama asked. Auntie Katelyn sighed. "Yeah, I know we had a Netflix night planned, but I need to head to the library." Auntie Katelyn said. 

"I thought we were going to make every other Sunday our Netflix night." Mama said sadly.

"I know, but I need to go study for something." Auntie Katelyn said. Mama sounded confused when she said that. I poked mama's arm, getting her attention. "Mama, auntie Katelyn has been trying to get into a theater class. I think she wants to study for a test that she's going to take." I said.

"Y/n, you weren't supposed to tell anyone." Auntie Katelyn complained.

"That's amazing, Katelyn! Should I come help you?" Mama asked. 

"No, I want to do this myself." Auntie Katelyn said. 

"Ok, I guess I can catch up on 'Criminal Brains' without you since they added a new season on Netflix that I need to watch." Mama said.

"What's criminal brains?" I asked.

"That's a show you two shouldn't watch alone." Auntie Katelyn said. 

"Why not?" I asked. 

"It's a very scary show, and people die in it. Plus your mom isn't the greatest to watch it alone." Auntie Katelyn said. She started talking about how the last time it happened how mama freaked out about things making noises. I giggled as mama looked at me upset. After Katelyn left mama dicded to change what we were watching to the 'Criminal Brains' show. I thought it was cool, but I think mama was a bit scared of what was going on in the show. Mama's phone went off making her jump and scream. I giggled as she tried to calm down. She checked her phone before panicking about what the text said. She texted back before putting her phone away. "Alright I guess we're going over to the guys' house today." Mama said. I nodded and headed to the door where I put my jacket on. When we got to the guys' house mama rang the doorbell. Gar answered the door having us come inside. "Aphmau we need to ask you something and you have to tell us the truth." Gar said. 

"What are you guys so worried about?" Mama asked.

"We know what you've done." Lar said. I looked at the confused before walking over to see what was on Lar's computer. "Is your name Empress_Aphmau on Wattpad?" Gar asked. Mama stopped panicking as she realized what was asked. "What?" Mama asked. I looked at Lar's computer screen to see mama's Wattpad account. "Oh you found mama's writing?" I asked. 

"You knew about it Y/n?" Mama asked. I nodded. "You're not really good and turning off your computer mama." I said. Mama sighed as the guys started telling the story. I giggled as mama was having a hard time since the guys found her account. After that the guys started to tell her about how her writing was bad for the story. Most of which I didn't understand. Gar complained about how Romeow was a black cat and not a blonde one with blue eyes. "Gar are you still trying to ship you with mama?" I asked. 

"Y/n I'm sure you won't understand this until you're older, but yes I am." Gar said. I sighed before hearing him say something about a cat named Sprinkles and crying about it. "Well Garroth for your information don't see you writing anything." Mama said. 

"I'd love to, but I don't know how to write creatively enough for a story." Gar said.

"I'm sorry Garroth I forgot that wasn't your best subject. Wait how about we learn it now? The best way to learn how to write creatively is to just do it." Mama said.

"I write sometimes with mama's help though." I said. Everyone but mama looked at me a little shocked. "What do you write about Y/n?" Dante asked. 

"Mama helps me write stories with anime characters I like in them." I said. Lar looked at me like he wanted something. "Can we read some of it?" He asked. I shook my head. "No it's for me and mama only." I said. Lar let out a sigh before mama left to go get her laptop. "I'll be right back. Please watch over Y/n until I get back." Mama said. Everyone nodded as I sat on the couch to wait for her. Mama had gotten me a laptop to use for school so she brought that over with her. "Okay, times up." Mama said. Gar freaked out, Dante seemed ready for it, while Lar didn't respond. Lar went first and read his story out loud. Lar's story sounded familiar but I couldn't figure out why. "Is that it?" Mama asked. 

"I had to get to the good stuff with only a paragraph. We had a time limit too." Lar said. 

"Lame!" Dante said. I giggled as I kept writing my story. "What to go next Dante?" Mama asked. 

"Sure." Dante said. He started his story but I stopped paying attention since I was writing my own. Mama read her story next, but it was another one with cats in it. "Mama can you do wolves next time?" I asked. She nodded and patted my head. Gar was the last to read his he was using cats too. "Why does everyone use cats?" I asked. Gar shrugged as did mama. Gar finished reading his story which ended with the cats having forty kittens. "Let's face it guys we're not the best writers, but it was fun if you'll excuse me I need to use the restroom. Y/n please look after my laptop." Mama said getting up. Dante stood up before sitting down in front of mama's computer. I grabbed it and pulled it towards me. "No, mama doesn't want anyone to touch it." I said defensively. 

"Please Y/n we just want to see what she reads." Dante said. I shook my head and trying cover the laptop. Gar and Lar started to tickle me while Dante tried to take the laptop. "What are you guys doing?" Mama asked. they stopped looked at her before heading back to the seats.
