Chapter 30

Y/n's POV

A week ago me and mama hung out with papa, Zane and Travis. Papa and Zane were fighting about who was mama's best friend. After they finished their fight, mama came out talking about an anime convention that was coming to town. She turned on her favorite anime, and Travis was getting excited. Zane and papa groaned when they saw the show while I sat next to papa. Today me, mama, papa, and Zane were making our way into the hotel that mama and auntie Nana had paid for. The entire way there, mama was talking about her favorite animes and who she like from those animes. "Welcome to A-Con 2016!" Mama cheered. Zane looked around the lobby before looking at mama. "This isn't what I was expecting." Zane said. Mama giggled while I grabbed onto papa's hand. 

"This isn't the con, silly. That starts tomorrow. This is the hotel that we'll be staying at for now." Mama said. Mama looked at everyone. "Zane, is this your first anime convention?" Mama asked. Zane nodded. "Aaron?" Mama asked, looking at him. Papa shook his head before mama looked at me. "I know you haven't gone to one yet, but trust me, it's fun." Mama said. I smiled and nodded. "I can't wait to see the costumes you guys made." Mama said. 

"I'm not sure how I feel about walking around in a costume all day." Papa said. 

"Aaron, you walk around without a shirt." Mama said.

"Why do you look at me?" Papa asked. Mama's face went to a tomato red as she started stuttering about looking or not looking at papa. "Papa doesn't mind mama." I said. 

"Do I need to leave and take Y/n with me?" Zane asked. I heard the elevator ding before smelling someone familiar. I turned to see auntie Nana walking towards us. "Aphmau~senpai! You're here!" She cheered. Mama turned and looked at her. "Kawaii~chan, I've never been more happy for you to interrupt." Mama said. 

"Woah, does Aphmau~senpai need some water? Her face is burning red." Auntie Nana said. They continued talking for a second before I saw Zane looking more and more upset as each second passed. "What's going on? What'd you do to her?" Zane asked looking at papa. 

"I'm just admiring her cuteness from afar." Papa said.

"What did Aaron~kun say?" Auntie Nana asked.

"Aaron no!" Mama said. 

"I said she was cute." Papa said. Auntie Nana started freaking out, I quickly covered my ears as I heard her squeal about mama and papa. "What's the hotel room number?" Papa asked. Auntie Nana told papa the room number before taking me upstairs. When we got upstairs we walked into the room and we were the only ones that had shown up so far. 

"Aphmau~senpai, don't you need to finish your costume?" Auntie Nana said. 

"You're right, here let me show you the costume." Mama said opening her suitcase. She looked through her suitcase for a minute before looking at auntie Nana. "It's not in my suitcase." Mama said. 

"Did Aphmau~senpai forget to pack her costume?" Auntie Nana asked.

"No, we watched her pack it." Zane said. I nodded in agreement. "Kawaii~chan will go talk to management and see if anything happened." Auntie Nana said. Mama sighed and thanked her before looking at me. "Let's finished your costume sweetie." Mama said. I nodded and opened my suitcase and pulled out the Wendy Marvell cosplay that we had been working on. "Let's head to the other room for now so we can work on this." Mama said. I nodded and carried the dress we had worked on into the room connected to the one we were in. Mama had me put the dress on so she could finish putting a few details on. As we finished up my costume there was a knock on the other room's door. "Alright we're all done let's go see everyone." Mama said. I nodded and followed her into the other room. Mama answered the door and everyone else was finally here. Mama explained to Lucinda what happened to her costume before everyone walked in.

"Oh my gosh Y/n you look absolutely adorable." Lucinda said. I smiled and looked at her. "Thank you." I said. 

"Now if I'm thinking about the right character you're missing a couple things. Can you do a quick twirl for me?" Lucinda asked. I nodded and twirled in front of her. "Oh! I know what you're missing." Lucinda said. I looked at her before she summoned her staff and tapped my arm. An azure blue Fairy Tail guild mark appeared on my arm. "That's so cool, thanks Lucinda." I said hugging her. 

"No problem sweetie, we can even dye your hair later if you mom let's us." She said. I smiled and looked at mama. "I don't know about that." Mama said. I heard Zane laugh for a second before looking at him. "Aph, I remember that you once dyed your hair without your mom's knowledge." Zane said. Mama tried to shush him before I looked at papa. "You know Aph, most dyes that we'd use are temporary. Do you have a way of doing it Lucinda?" Papa asked.

"I'm surprised you even have to ask me such questions." Lucinda said. Papa nodded before mama looked at her looking like she was going to ask a question. "And before you ask Aphmau, it's temporary and magical. We don't have to worry about bleaching or anything like that." Lucinda said. Lucinca stood up and faced mama. "Now let's have ourselves a little fashion show." She said. Everyone stepped back as mama stood near the window. Lucinda used her magic and gave mama a sailor uniform outfit. "It does look nice on you, but it's not your style." Lucinda said. She used another spell this time making mama look like a pokemon. Everyone complemented mama on how she looked before papa punched Travis. "Third time is a charm." Lucinda said using another spell. The third outfit reminded me of papa, but if he was wearing raven black instead of the scarlet red jacket that he normally wore. Travis started to say something, but Zane warned him not to.

"Aww Travis your adorable." Lucinda said. 

"Thank you. Wait what?" Travis said. Lucinda complemented him again before Travis started wondering what she was talking about. "Aphmau we'll pick a different outfit tonight, for now Travis is going to treat me and Y/n to lunch." Lucinda said. 

"I am? That's right I am." Travis said. 

"Can I wear my costume out?" I asked.

"Y/n it's for tomorrow." Mama said.

"Oh don't worry about it Aphmau, I think it makes her look adorable." Lucinda said. I smiled and nodded. Mama sighed before nodding. "Yay!" I cheered. Travis led us out of the hotel and to a place nearby for lunch.
