In the middle of the wreckage that is Nicola Tesla University, a portal opened using magic even when Gods would find it hard to perform magic.

Out of the blue portal, a hand reached out and grabbed an Injector device labeled "Formula.v2"

Then, as sudden as the portal had appeared, it closed as the hand retreated with the item.

Beijing, China.

"No no, Minister, I don't think you get what I'm asking you-"

In a tower near Tianmen Square, a man and a young girl were seen arguing, one in a professional business suit while the other in a snowy dress, one of clearly of Asian descent and the other is pale and had light-colored bleached wavy hair.

"I don't think you know what you are asking me to do. To continue doing what you ask of me will destabilize all of China, we have been funding and extremely yielding to your demands. However, this request of yours crossed a line that our original chairman Mao deemed to be too dangerous!"

The Minister exclaimed while sitting down on a chair. It may seem strange for someone of his stature to explain himself to a young teen, but this teen is one of the most dangerous teenagers out there.

"So there is nothing our organization can do to convince you is there?"

The teen asked with an underlying tone of sadness as if about to say goodbye to a friend.

"I'm sorry, but there is nothing-"

Suddenly, the old man's body relaxed- more like how a puppet that's had its strings cut. Slowly, blood spilled out from their nostrils and ears.

Reaching into an earpiece, the girl looked at the door to the room expectantly.

"This is Gokusai Kaibi, it is done, ready one of the 30 replacements, and send in the clean-up squad, we're going to need it."

This lovely and seemingly innocent-looking teenager is none other than a member of SCHOOL, a clandestine task force under the command of Rank 2 Dark Matter and overseers by Director Crowley herself through a liaison. They operate in areas of corporate espionage and sabotage as well as in the business of assassination to further the goals of the Esper Faction. They are one of the most elite task forces within the Esper Faction, only beaten out by GROUP.

The door opened seconds after the command was issued, 2 giant hazmat suits piloted by people, their genders indistinguishable from how bulky the yellow hazmat suits are.

Each of the suits carried a flamethrower-like device, connected via a tube to large cylinder drums that are carried like backpacks.

Once the still living and unprotected Agent moved out of the room, chemicals began to spray out of the devices.

Each of these clean-up Agents carries 400 CCs of TXI-5, a specialized dissolving agent made by the Acid Department. Designed to break down DNA, it'll turn any tissue into an organic soup, unable to be absorbed by even clothing. The reason why they use hazmat suits is that it's a gaseous chemical that slowly loses its acidity through contact with oxygen.

After breaking down the DNA and turning the corpse into an unrecognizable soup, the next part is just scooping up the dissolved matter and clothing with something akin to a vacuum cleaner before dumping it all in the incinerator.

A clean and efficient process that takes no more than 5 minutes.

Frightening indeed. The Agent thought.

Her phone beeped once again, causing her to take it out and look at the message.

Once she saw who it was, her gloomy day was instantly uplifted, causing a grin to bloom upon her doll-like face.

Gokusai: "looks like Yumiya is back...I wonder how her assignment's gone...Maybe we'll even get to go mall shopping again."

After a week of training, Rias and her group returned to Kouh, ignorant of what had happened to Academy City, they curb-stomped Riser's Peerage, what with them already familiar with a large majority of their strategy and attacks.

Sirzech Lucifer smiled, happy at the success of his investment.

In a well-furnished room within one of the residential high-rises of Academy City, Kaede sat on the couch, watching the news, waiting for her Dad to come home.

The Talk cannot wait any longer.

News Anchor: "With the massive clean up present for the fall out of what's been dubbed 'The Kihara Incident' by a majority of ESPnet, questions are being raised about accountability, especially when it came out that a small fraction of the Kihara leadership, including the Gensei Kihara and 5 others, secretly and willing deployed the infamous 'Level Upper' to much of lower Level populations in a covert experiment. The result of the experiment was the AIM Entity that Vice Director Bismark van Astrea and Agent Imagine Breaker subdued with most of Nicola Tesla University destroyed."

The news anchor continued reciting what had happened, Kaede almost went to sleep before hearing the door click open.

News Anchor: "The Citizen Protection Program is calling for an audit of all Kihara facilities to scope out any potential misconduct that was swept under the rug. In general, it is not a good day to be part of the Kihara Political Party isn't it?"

With a somber look on his face, Kaede looked at him expectantly.

News Anchor: "on further news concerning the black sphere the Entity made, researchers analyzing the data shown it to be a form of the 'Big Rip' scenario, where in the future space has expanded so much that the binding power of the strong nuclear force wouldn't be enough to hold it together, thus resulting in a universe of static and free subatomic particles before even they too are ripped apart. Next-"

He sighed, Kaede turned off the ultra-thin TV as Bismark sat on the single-person couch beside her's.

He looked pensive, she noted, as if what's coming next would physically hurt him.

Bismark: "So...What do you want to know?"

Many things. Kaede thought as she moved to open her mouth.

AN: A rather short chapter, now we have reached the tail's end of Arc 3 with Kokabiel and the Peace Conference left. Even if I'm bad at predicting, I think there'll be up to 7 chapters left of Arc 3.

Here's an interesting thought experiment: imagine if you had to choose pizza or hot dog for lunch and you choose pizza. Now rewind time with everything-including even quantum fluctuations, the same as it was before you chose pizza, would you still choose pizza if every variable up to that decision stayed the same? (note: you would not have previous memories)

Because if so, if you would choose pizza whenever the world reset itself without the previous incarnation of memories, then that would mean Free Will is nonexistent.

Also, the same thing occurs if Back to the Future's time travel were to occur.

That would mean huge ramifications for the legal system since, technically speaking, someone doing a crime would be the equivalent of an unfortunate series of cause and effect out of their control that leads up to the crime being committed. There's another disturbing implication since if you were part of a chain of this cause and effect that lead to the crime happening, under the current First World legal system you could be charged with aiding a criminal.

Don't think this would happen? Remember, the modern legal system is built upon the ideals of Free Will, that is a person chose to commit a crime. In the event where this is proven false, there will be calls for a complete overhaul of the Laws and Legislation, nihilism would see a massive rise in popularity since everyone wouldn't see the point in a world without free will. It could get so severe that a breakdown of social order might be possible.
