AN: I'll place this through Grammarly later

Have you ever heard the theory of cultural homogenization?

It state as a process of which local culture gets absorbed into the dominate global culture through adoption, defusion, and popularization of cultural symbols/practices.

And example of this can be seen how after WWII and the Cold War, America is seen as the dominate world culture with many other countries trying to mimic the West

Many tend to criticize it as a form of cultural imperialism, they do not recognize that homogenization is a two-way street, what with countries like Japan adopting Capitalism and America, anime.

So how does that relate? Well, while returning to Kouh, Dad had to take a phone call, and now I've got this old man speaking to a friend about the "foreigner" replacing the good old days with "propaganda".

Well who would be thought? An ethnically homogenous society are terribly racist to any not of the dominant descent.

Anime you lied to me. I thought, cracking myself up as I tried to ignore what he's saying.

Looking at the iPhone 4 that was released this year in 2007, I-

I bite my lower lips at the reflection of myself in the unlit screen, even with the bunny shaped ribbon covering my horns I...

What my Dad told me the other day still haunts me.

Maybe I am a-

No

Stomping down hard on the thought obviously influenced by the now active voice, I refuse to acknowledge it.

Absolutely not.

I am Kaede van Astrea, daughter of Bismark van Astrea, I am not Lucy, I am not Lucy, I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucy I am not Lucyiamnotlucyi'mnot-

I jumped at the sudden touch upon my shoulder. Alarmed and with Vectors peaking out of the tips of my back, I looked at the person who touched me-

Bismark: "you alright?"

He asked with obvious concern in his eyes.

Kaede: "I'm...Fine."

He removed the hand and adopted a thinking position, what with one arm around his waist supporting the other that's covering his mouth.

He dropped it not a moment later, a frown marred his mouth.

Bismark: "I'm sorry, I probably should have tried to ease you in on the whole idea of it huh?"

He laughed a self deprecating laugh. Ugh, I hate it when he does that!

Bismark: "I'll try better next time?"

He joked, lightening the mood as I rolled my eyes while groaning. I eyed him as he placed his phone in the casual jeans that he's wearing in an attempt to stay under the paparazzi.

Kaede: "so, what's the phone call about? And when's the car getting here?"

Bismark: "it...Was about work-it was about the ripples that the Incident will cause. The car is getting here in about 2 minutes."

A comfortable silence broke out between us, Bismark looked outward towards the Downtown area as people around us rushed out of the Airport.

My thoughts moved on to Issei, and how he supposedly betrayed me in that timeline. I...I still love him, he showed me how good it feels when humans are nice. I am not Lucy after all.
