Twenty-seven

"Mom? Dad?" Yerin called. She was sitting back, holding back her tears. Jimin was in the state of shock. 

"Hi!" her mom, Jisoo beamed. Yerin wants to hug them but she can't move because she's in the hospital bed. Taehyung then carefully assist her to sit.

Jimin cried. Tears were flowing down his face.

"N-no... I'm not dreaming, a-aren't I?" He asked his self while laughing.

Taehyung sighed.

"It's true. Jimin-ah, your parents are alive." He said and patted his back. He looked at his girlfriend's parents.

"Welcome back Mr. and Mrs. Park. We'll be heading out first." He motioned the others to get out first.

"Thank you so much Taehyung-ah." Jungwon, Yerin and Jimin's dad said.

Taehyung nodded and smiled. Eunwoo stopped walking and faced them.

"Mom, dad, I'll be outside." He said. The two nodded and smiled. Jimin's forehead creased. 

Yerin shivered.

"W-what? M-mom? D-dad? Did he just call you that?" Jimin asked stuttering.

"So, it's really true..." Yerin whispered. Jimin looked at Yerin, confused. 

"What? You knew about this?" Jimin asked. Yerin looked away. "What? Ye? Tell me?" 

"Calm down, son." Jungwon told Jimin. 

"No, dad! I am fcking confused! What is happening?" he roared. 

"Ya! Stop yelling!" Yerin frustratingly said. 

Jisoo and Jungwon had to stop the two. 

"Okay, stop it you two! We're alive okay?" Jungwon's voice echoed throughout the room. Jisoo stopped him. 

"Calm down, hon." she said. Jisoo sighed. 

"We hide everything from you two, we went far away to protect you. But we always fail," she said. "We knew everything that is happening, and we're sorry we didn't protect you."

"And A-alec... my baby..." Jisoo broke down. Jungwon hugged her tightly. Yerin looked away as tears were flooding from her eyes.

She then remembered everything.

"We are sorry son, if we hide from you." Jungwon said. Jimin started crying.

"I-I become a police officer to seek justice and kill the ones who killed you dad. Did y-you know that?" He said. "I ignored my siblings and didn't face them the moment you were gone."

"O-oppa.." Yerin called his attention. Jimin didn't bother and still continued talking.

"Yerin choose to be an officer for you too." Jimin added.

"We know. We know Jimin-ah, and we are so proud of you two." Jisoo said as she hugged her son. Jimin cried even more and hugged her mom back.

"I've been waiting for this moment to happen again. I am so glad we're complete now." Jungwon said and hugged his family.

After the long talk, they have all calmed  down. Jungwon sighed and looked at his children.

"We're sorry." He stated.

"Dad, it's fine. It's over now. At least you're here now." Yerin said and smiled.

"And you," Jungwon said to his daughter. "You're pregnant with Taehyung right?" He asked. Yerin nodded slowly.
