Meeting Tyson made me so happy like the first time I saw a rose bloom in our rose garden I helped to grow. It was a magical feeling when I saw that small but beautiful blossom that was the first one to appear in that year.

I woke up hearing my dad's voice, "Darling, wake up, your rose has its first bloom on." I immediately opened my eyes and smiled at him. I could tell it was still early in the morning. "Okay, I want to see it," I said.

Dad took me by the hand and quietly led me out of the house and into the rose garden in our backyard. We didn't want to wake mum so we were extra careful. I saw it just as we stepped out of the house. It was beautiful. "Wow! I can't believe it, it's so beautiful!" I squealed. "I know, honey. I told you that watering it regularly will lead to this," proudly said my dad. "Look, honey, there will be more," said dad pointing to other buds. I just couldn't believe that my hard work watering and weeding weeds had paid off. That was the most beautiful rose I have ever seen and I've seen a lot of beautiful ones growing right here in this very rose garden in our backyard.

"You know, honey, just because the first one bloomed doesn't mean you have to stop caring for them," dad reminded me, "you'll still need to water them regularly so other ones can blossom too. And don't forget about taking care about weeds too - they will still grow."

"I know, dad, I'll take care of them just like I promised you!" I proudly said, "Just because I'm only 6 years old doesn't mean I'll stop caring about them, dad."

"Honey," I heard my mother's voice calling my dad, "please, hurry!"

My dad gave me my watering cann filled with water and said "Can you water all of the roses for me, please, Rosie?" I quickly nod and begin to work while my dad rushed inside to see my mother. I loved taking care of these roses, especially after seeing the beautiful rose blooming already. I just couldn't believe that something I did make something so beautiful out of it.

"Rosie, please, come," said dad rushing out of the house, "do you want to go eat breakfast with Daniela? I heard they are making pancakes today," he said smiling at me. "Okay, daddy," I said.

He took me for breakfast next door. When I got in I could already taste the smell of pancakes in my mouth. "Okay, honey, I'll see you later," said dad kissing me on the forehead and leaving.

"Good morning, Rosie!" said Daniela's mother, "come here," she said after disappearing into the kitchen again.

"Rosie!" said Daniela rushing down the stairs and hugging me tightly before I reached the kitchen. We went into the kitchen and took places around the table. Daniela's dad was already sitting at the table reading the newspaper and when he saw me he said "Good morning, Rosie!"

Then sleepy Tim came into the kitchen "Morning!". Sundays when they usually made pancakes were the only days when you could get Tim out of the bed in the summer.

I didn't know where my dad went or may both of them did but I loved having breakfast here. I kinda felt like part of the family - their unbiological daughter they got after moving to live next door to us.

It was a weird dream to remember this but I swear I woke up to the smell of freshly baked pancakes that made my mouth water.
