The disease spreads

"If you want to lean on to Ellie, you can leave my class" Mr. Ralph Tarantula said. He was truffles' head and he is teaching Empire Medics for us.

"Sir, we had sports before. She's tired" I said defending Kristiana.

"So does everyone"

"She has no strength now, sir. She's burning"

"I am done talking with the two of you. Out of my class now"

"But sir....." Kristoff said.

"Do you want to go out?"

I supported Kristiana and left the class.

"Now, everyone read page number 2"

Kristiana kept on descending. I took her arm and put them around my shoulders and caught her.

"Ellie, I do not feel good"

"I will take you to the medical room" I said and we went there.

"What?" Kristoff asked.

"They told me she had to stay there for a month"

"First Athea, then Jones and now my sister?" He asked aimed at me.

"Cedric, count me in the detective work you are doing. It's definitely fishy" Kristoff said.

He nodded and asked me and Eric, "What about you two?"

"I am in"

"Yes"

In Water Math,

"Where is Kristiana?" Ms. Ariel asked.

"She's in the medical room. She's sick" I said.

"Okay. Today, we will be learning how to find water velocity" she said.

"As you know, Spelitin is Vampires language. It enables us to use magic. It's hard but useful. For example, Roarsh askr means levitation." Mr. Herbertor said.

After class, we went to meet Kristiana. She was asleep. Kristoff sat there watching her while I looked around at everyone. There were at least a dozen of them. Cedric was with Athea.

I went to her.

"Hello. I am Cedric's friend. How are you now?" I said.

"I am good. Thanks for asking"

"Why is everyone here having the same illness?"

"I don't know"

I went to the green dorm after class. Mr. Herbertor was there along with Natalie.

Another person was in the area. He turned. It was a man. He looked around 20. He had brown hair and eyes.

"This is Roger Rider. He's going to check out your ability"

We both nodded.

"Can we start our class tomorrow?" He asked to Mr. Herbertor. He nodded.

"Okay, guys. You know my name. I know your name. blah blah blah. A mysterious illness is spreading around..." Roger started.

Mr. Herbertor cleared his throat. He said, "This is not the way you talk to students, Roger. Natalie, Ellie, you know that the planet Calics always has a scheme to spread diseases to humans. Empires suck human blood and save them from the virus. Empires are resistant to the diseases made by Calics, but a new disease is spreading across, but to the empires. Our scientists are not able to create an antibody and this is just second day of school. Till now, 15 people are affected. We are not able to find the source. We thought it was the second sarsaparilla growing underneath the real one but it grows even though destroyed again and again. I want you to find the true source. This club is not real. It's made up for covering the investigation. We don't want students to panic. Ellie and Natalie help Roger in his investigation"

I told this to Eric, Cedric and Kristoff.

"I knew something was fishy" Cedric said Eric became disgruntled.

Kristoff didn't speak a word.

Two weeks have passed. More than fifty students were in the medical room. The investigations we done were of no use. I was alone all the time trying to find out the source.

We had gone to Sarsparilla tree about a million times, but we got no clue. Natalie never spoke with me and Eric was putting more effort. He would bring blood chocolates for us.

I and Eric, became close friends, as we were in the athletics team together. Ed was our other team member. He was kind but he sometimes hold back what he was about to say.

Cedric was convinced that if I find the other two guardians, we can find the cure. Kristoff told that Sarsaparilla must be the source. Eric would always be in deep thoughts.

We had a tournament with another academy. So, Ms. Ash trained us hard.

At night, I was sleeping in my dorm, I heard a noise. I sneaked

Out to see Eric, Cedric and Kristoff.

"What are you doing at this time?"

"We came to call you"

"Why?"

"We are going to explore the Sarsaparilla tree"

I nodded and went to the tree.

We took the plank and entered the tunnel. The tree was growing vigorously. Its black branches were longer and black liquid was oozing out. It came out and fell to the floor. It's branches came and I froze it. It got unfroze by itself.

I looked at shock. Eric tried to melt it but it was standing majestic. We were doing it for two weeks. It was no use. Cedric burned it and Kristoff commanded the water elephants to pull away the tree.

After trying for one week, we were ready to leave, when I saw a protruding substance in the top of the tree. I told to Kristoff. He commanded the elephants and they pulled out the substance from the soil. It was golden and had a rod protruding upwards.

"Do you think it's the source?" I asked freezing the thing and taking it from the elephants.

They shrugged their shoulders. I took it to our dorm. I waved goodbye to others and went to my room. The thing glowed golden and unfroze itself. I froze it again. It's going to be a long night.

I took the heart to Mr. Herbertor. He looked at it and his face grew.

"This is the source"

"How are you sure, professor?"

"What do you think it is?"

"A heater?"

"No... It's the genetically enhanced Celene Shrill's heart!"

"It's a heart? And who is Celene Shrill?
