The Sarsaparillian Halloween

The Secrets Unfold

It was a family photo of Mr.Herbertor, Mrs.Renesme Herbertor and Natalie.

"Natalie is our head's daughter?" Eric asked.

"Why must she keep that a secret?" I asked.

"This must be the secret Rishter told you about" Kristoff said and showed us another picture of Natalie. In that photo, she had red hair and green eyes. She looked like a carbon copy of Mr.Herbertor.

I felt numb.

"I am sorry" I yelled. I fell down weakened and time unfroze. Natalie shrieked at us.

Eric came to my aid even though he's weak. Kristoff came and supported us.

"What are you doing here?" Natalie yelled.

Kristoff showed her the photo and said, "You should be the one explaining"

She grabbed it back.

"No one should know about this"

"Why?" Kristoff questioned.

"I will be the first to be targeted if the spy finds out"

"What spy? Why are you targeted?"

"I am telling you this only because of Ellie. I know she won't tell anyone. I trust her friends." Natalie said and I got goosebumps. I never trusted her! I felt so guilty!

"There's a spy in our school. Celene Shrill came to our school and threatened my father that he will cause downfall of this school, kill humans and revenge him for the Calics' defeat. She told that her descendant will come to this school and kill his descendant. So only, the general, my father's friend killed her in the battle. I am just hiding myself so that she doesn't figure out who I am and kill me"

Kristoff got into thinking.

"I am sorry" He said after some time. We bid her night and left the room to see Cedric standing outside our dorm.

Eric pulled us to a bush. We watched as I, Kristiana, Eric, Kristoff came from our dorm.

After some time, I saw us going to the green dorm. We decided to follow Cedric and Kristiana.

"Why are you coming with us?" Cedric asked annoyed.

We told them what happened and how Eric reversed time. We told about Natalie.

"That narrows my list down to Croci" I said.

Cedric got us into truffles dorm. It was yellow in colour and had many light balls. We sneaked into Croci's locker. I saw a bracelet.

I took it and opened it to see a picture of a family. They looked normal. I showed it to Kristiana who told me she didn't know them. I showed it to Cedric who told it was his parents and sister as a baby.

Cedric let out a gasp. He showed me the name carved underneath the bracelet.

CARA SHRILL

"Who is Cara Shrill?" Eric asked.

"Celene Shrill's Niece"

"Croci Anacon is the spy" Kristoff murmured. " The brown haired girl"

"I should have guessed. She told us her real name was Cara Ally!" Kristiana said.

"You found out!!" A voice boomed.

We turned to see Croci Anacon smirking. We decided to flee but some cronies caught us from behind. One of them was Athea.

"Why are you doing this?" Cedric shouted at Athea.

She didn't give any emotion.

"No use" Croci said, "I am controlling them. My power is not getting fire burns. It's controlling people"

"Why are you doing this, Croci?" Eric yelled trying to get away from the boy holding him.

"Revenge, Eric. Revenge. Earth Empires killed my aunt, who had a good vision for Calics!!" She said, "I am fulfilling her plans"

"Her plans were cruel for Earth" Kristiana said.

Croci laughed.

"I was working for Calics from my first year. No one suspected anything. On my second year, Athea found out. I controlled her. She was smart enough to give clues to Rishter. I used my aunt's heart to show our revenge. Athea took my bracelet from my bag on the first day. She found out I am the one causing chaos. I got it from Athea only to be snatched by Cedric again. I used some of my class boys and created a drama to get my bracelet back."

"But you gave the cure?" Cedric said.

"It was because Ellie suspected me. Don't worry, I have some horrible plans to do at the tomorrow's Halloween dance and for you"

She told and her eyes started sparkling.
"Don't look at her" Kristiana warned.
We closed her eyes.
"She's trying to control us" Kristoff yelled.
Her cronies used their hands and made us open our eyes.
Before, I could freeze time, I went blank.

I came to my senses. I was holding Celene Shrill's heart frozen. It went blank. I was digging a hole in Sarsaparilla tree roots. It went blank. I was sitting in class with Kristiana. It went blank. I was wearing witch costumes. It went blank.

I came to my senses to see that all of my friends we're in the trance. I poured water on them.
"Thanks Ellie" Eric shouted.
I saw that we were in the school ground dancing to the horror music.

"Mr.Herbertor" We shouted.
As he turned, a sarsparilla vine caught him around the waist.
One vine caught me too. Kristiana was screaming. Kristoff was raising animal figurines. Cedric started a fire. I didn't know what to do. I looked at Eric to tell him to rewind time, but he won't do it in fear of people finding he's a time guardian. I had to act fast.

"We know it's you Croci" I shouted.
Ethan, on the other vine looked at me and shouted, "What's happening, Ellie? "
I shouted all of Croci's plan to the whole school. It's a school against one of her.
Everyone started using our powers but the vines grew stronger and stronger. The teachers were fighting with their full powers. Black liquid started oozong out of it and Croci was giving her evil laughter.
That's when a idea stuck my head. I whistled to my pet. Wulfric came running. So did the other pets.
They all were caught in vines. Kristiana yelled again. I saw that it was wounding it's vines around her neck. I aimed a frozen isle at its vine and it shrinked back.
