"𝐈𝐌 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐙𝐈𝐍𝐆."
"Yeah, so are all of us."
"Whatever.. look! there, Simon's finally decided to join us again." Kate rolled her eyes.
Once Kate turned around Simon stood behind her pulling faces, 'finally decided to join us again' he mouthed waving his hands around. Stella snorted which made Kate turn around and catch him in the act.
She squinted her eyes at him, "What?" he asked innocently. "Alright!" Josh clapped his hands, getting everyone's attention. "We need to decontaminate."
Stella picked out an orange sweater with a kitten sewed onto the corner, scrunching her nose at it she quickly put it back in the blue box incase she got stuck wearing something that a middle schooler would probably wear.
"You can't have any of Sam's blood on you." Josh informed, rummaging through the box. "Well not much I can do about that." Sam stood with her arms crossed looking down at the group before walking away.
Deena jumped up after her, carrying some random clothes. "Deena, you have to get clean too! not a single drop, ok?" Josh shouted after her.
"Rub-a-dub-dub time!" Simon laughed, pushing the bathroom door open, Josh following after him. "Hey, wait." Kate stopped walking making Stella bump into her back. Seriously?
"I don't wanna go in by myself..."
Stella widened her eyes, "Oh god..." she grumbled before pushing past Kate and Josh and into the boys bathroom. "You guys owe me!" she shouted back.
Josh started to panic, "Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start." he whispered following after Kate.
Simon laughed, "Are you going to keep staring at me? or get changed?" he spoke, realizing Stella had just been standing in the doorway awkwardly. "Right," Stella nodded, walking further into the bathroom.
Stella put the clean clothes in the sink before she started to get undressed.
Simon was about to speak before Stella started to, she ran her hands down her face, groaning. "Ugh.. okay- so if we die here tonight," she took a deep breath, "I need you to know that I-"
Simon stared at her as she thought about what she was going to say, thinking of all the worst possibilities. Though a part of him held onto the thought that she'd maybe say the thing he'd wanted to say for a while but was too nervous.
Which- she was. But her stubbornness always getting the best of her doesn't quite help in these situations. So instead.. the words, "I stole you're blue pen in eighth grade. And I'm sorry." came out.
She cringed at the words, knowing he probably wouldn't believe her. But all she got in return was a forced smile. "Keep it." he said, before continuing to change into the clean clothes he had gotten from lost & found.
Stella frowned, "I lost it."
"Oh,"
"Yeah."
Kate peaked her head through the bathroom door, "You guys ready?"
Stella turned to Simon, who was avoiding eye contact and then back to Kate. "Mhm,"
Kate nodded before closing the door again and going back to the others in the hallway.
"Right, come on." Stella grabbed Simon's arm and began leading him toward the exit. Simon bit his lip nervously, deciding he would have to be the one to say it. Well, not exactly.
Simon sighed, "Stella wait,"
He bent down, his lips against her cheek, brushing it lightly- and still that light touch sent shivers through her nerves, shivers that made her whole body tremble. "If you want me to stop, tell me now," he whispered.
When she still said nothing, he brushed his mouth against the hollow of her temple. "Or now." He traced the line of her cheekbone. "Or now." His lips were against hers.
"Or-"
But she had reached up and pulled him down to her, and the rest of his words were lost against her mouth. He kissed her gently, carefully, but it wasn't gentleness she wanted, not now, not after all this time, and she knotted her fists in his shirt, pulling him harder against her.
He groaned softly, low in his throat, and then his arms circled her, gathering her against him.
His hands moved to the back of her thighs, hosting her up onto the sink. Stella's legs wrapping around his waist.
His hands were moving down, under her shirt, skimming his fingers over her skin, sending a rush of blood to every part of her body.
"Guys! we're starting-" Kate barged through the door, "Oh my- Oh my god!" she stared at the two with wide eyes before running back to the others.
Simon stared at Stella before they both started to laugh. "D-did you see her face!" Stella held onto Simon's arm so she wouldn't fall over from laughing so hard.
"Yeah," he chuckled. "I was thinking, we could try.. us."
Stella shifted her gaze to the floor, now feeling nervous. Simon had a million thoughts running through his head, had he now ruined their friendship? did she even like him like that?
Stella shook her head as if that would somehow shake the nerves off. "Let's try,"
Simon was relieved. Relieved that the girl he liked hadn't rejected him, and that he hadn't made things weird between the two.
"Kate's definitely going to tell everybody," Stella buried her face in her hands, cringing.
"Definitely." Simon laughed,
A/N: AH ok so I'm really sorry about the loooonggg wait for this chapter, but I seriously had no clue whatsoever what I wanted them to do. I was thinking about writing smut.. but I thought of a better trope for them. ;)
Also, I'm going back to school on Monday so I'll probably have a proper updating schedule by then. Maybe like, every other night? Not sure but I definitely have got a better hold on the story now.
