Ydris's POV
And then as he kissed her, he realized how much he has been wanting to do that. It felt like every candle ignited and illuminated the room they were in with a bright light. It was like a fire but one that didn't burn everything down. More like standing in front of a chimney. He felt whole and didn't want the kiss to end. But what if she did?? Ydris stepped back and looked at [Y/N]s face for any trace of discomfort. She looked surprised but he didn't know if it was in a good or in a bad way. He panicked thinking he might had made things worse.
"I am sorry [Y/N], I just-"
"It's ok Ydris" She smiled and took his hand. "I like you too. Thank you for.. trying to fullfill my dream" She said while looking at the ground and blushing. That's when he knew it was fine. And when he knew that he will be fine too. Because he could be with her.
[Y/N]s POV
I was so owerwhelmed with what was happening, still so happy. I was unsure first, scared of getting heartbroken or hurt, but it didn't matter now, because the words he told me made me fall for him even more. I tought that I could forget that accidental kiss and move on, but the joy and excitement I felt right now told me different. Ydris streched his hand out.
"Do you wanna go on a walk with me, princess?" I smiled and took his hand.
"With pleasure"
I left [H/N] at the circus, he/she probably witnessed the kiss and I hoped to not have a discussion about that later. The sun was starting to set but it was still warm. A few red-purple-ish died clouds decorated the evening sky.
"Such a nice evening, I like the colors." I said
"Where I come from my dear, there are many beautiful things to see. It has skies you can't even imagine." That made me curious. Thinking about it I hardly knew anything about Ydris.
"Where are you from?"
"Maybe I can show it to you.. one day" Ydris continued as if he didn't hear my question.
"Tell me a bit about yourself, maybe your family?" Ydris stared at me with a serious face, then he sighed and his gaze wandered off.
" I would love to... someday. But I think it might be too early for that now.." It made my heart sink but he probably had his reasons so I accepted it. We had a nice view on the river from our current position when Ydris stopped walking and let go off my hand. For a moment I was worried but then he cupped my face and looked into my eyes.
"[Y/N] you look beautiful, do you know that" I got so flustered, he probably could feel my cheek heating up in his hand. I giggled it off.
"Thanks.. You are quite handsome as well, I can't believe I'm your first girlfriend." I mean he never mentioned one and something told me that I was his first. Now he let go of my cheek and started blushing as well.
"Well some have tried flirting .. but it meant nothing to me. But you calling me handsome makes my whole world shine brighter." It made me happy and proud to be someone so special to him. I wondered what made me different from the other girls.
The clouds that were once purple now looked gray and suddenly a thunder was audible from not too far away.
"I hope it won't start raining"
"Shall we head back? It might have been a short walk but I hope you too enjoyed it."
"Yes, I don't want [H/N] to stand in the rain." As I finished the sentence I could feel the first few rain drops falling down, only getting more and more.
"Don't worry about that my dear. Xin will take him/her and Zee into a tent" Within a minute it almost started pouring. Ydris took off his coat and put it around me.
"I don't want my dove to get wet and maybe catch a cold" I smiled at Ydris, looking at him even though every few seconds some rain drops found their way into my eyes. After a while I was able to see the circus top, not too far away. Ydris and I went into the fortune telling tent as a shelter, the horses were probably in the big tent.
I wiped away the rain in my face and noticed that I was soaking wet. I took off Ydris' coat to give it back to him. He took off his hat. I looked at him. This was the first time I saw him without his coat and hat. Some parts of his slicked back hair were dry and mostly the tips of the hair got wet. Underneath he was wearing a white shirt that got a bit transparent due to the rain and I could see his skin shine through which made me blush. Since except of his face, his whole skin was usually covered, it was a bit unusual seeing him like this. It felt like seeing someone in their underwear. As Ydris noticed that I was staring at him for quite some while now, he softly smirked at me.
Despite being wet and cold heat rose up inside of my body by looking at Ydris as if it would light up candles around me. Oh Aideen, why does he look so good?!? I pulled Ydris closer to kiss him. His hand went to the back of my head, pushing it closer. It was a nice feeling, his lips were warm and it gave me a comfortable feeling of being save. I was indeed happy. Ydris took a step back and joyfully looked at me.
"Wait, don't pull away... Not yet" and then he kissed me again.
