Chapter 15

Five weeks later
Katie's POV

It's been five weeks since I had Robbie. Chad and the guys are back on tour for their new album, No Fixed Address, and Beth has been coming over frequently to help me out with Makenzi, Lyric, and Robbie since I had another C-section and am still on light duty until next Monday.

"Kenzie! Be Careful honey!" Beth calls out to Kenzie as she goes to jump into the pool. I gently move Robbie into a more comfortable position to feed him as Beth holds Grey.

Greyson had a heart attack right after Robbie was born and it damaged some of his nerves throughout his body. He still hasn't talked and I'm starting to think he may be nonverbal.

Sometime later, after Beth leaves with my siblings, I'm putting Robbie down for a nap as well as Lyric. I see that Kenzie is doing her preschool homework and look at the snack schedule for this coming week.

I see that she has snack on Friday and decide to send the goldfish snacks in with her that day.

I put together a quick dinner and feed Lyric and watch Kenzie eat hers. After they're done, I bathe them and put them to bed before taking a shower myself.

I go back downstairs and see that Beth is at the door.

"Hey, is everything alright?" I ask and she looks at me with tears in her eyes.

"Your dad met another woman while on tour. He called to tell me to be out of his house by next Friday because his new girlfriend, Lily, and her two kids, Abby and Charlie, are moving in that day." She says and I usher her and the kids inside.

"I'll call Dad and see what I can do. I still have a storage container in Vancouver that you can use for your stuff and you guys are welcome to stay for as long as you need to." I say and she hugs me as I show her where the kids can sleep at.

After that's done, I call my father.

"Hey honey! I want you to meet someone!" Dad says and I scoff.

"Who, your side bitch? Dad, you have three young children up here with Bethany! How could you do this to them? To Addy, Pat, and Grey?" I ask and he sighs.

"Honey, Lily and I are old friends. We met up and I decided I want to be with her, not Bethany. Addy and the other kids are more than welcome to stay at the house though with Abigail and Charles." Dad says and I scoff.

"Dad, Patrick isn't even 10 yet! How old are those two?" I ask and he sighs.

"Abigail is 16 and Charles is 12." He says and I scoff.

"Dad seriously? You know what, no, this is not happening! I'm not going to be in the middle again." I say as I hang up and Beth hugs me gently.

"I met Lily when my twin, Macy, and I were in the hospital after that car accident Mom got into and she isn't very nice. I'm shocked that she has kids because she hated both Macy and I." I say and she nods as she goes to the downstairs guest room.
