Chapter 14: More Good than bad

Liv's at her locker and Kira walks up to Liv and says, "Hi, I'm Kira. You knew that. I knew you knew that. I don't know why I just told you that again. Anyway, I have something for you." Liv says, "You have something for me?" Kira says, "Yeah. About Bardo. My explanation was sort of all over the place, so I did some research and I printed it out for you." Liv softly says, "You didn't have to do that." Kira says, "It only took a couple of hours." Liv says, "Wow, then you really didn't have to do that." Kira says, "I swear I printed it out." Mr. Yukimura says, "Kira. You forgot all the research you did for that girl you like." Kira looks at her dad in horror and Liv has a soft smile on her face. Kira looks down and  turns to give the papers to Liv and Liv smiles at Kira and says, "Thanks for doing that research I appreciate it and by the way my name's Liv. I think will be great friends."  Kira smiles and thinks that she just made her first friend. Later, as Kira is walking the halls she bumps into Liv and Kira rambles, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." Liv softly laughs and says, "Hey, it's okay." Kira says, "I was just trying to find Scott and Stiles, because they left their backpacks in class." Liv says, "I can help find them, if you want." Kira smiles and says, "That be great." As their both walking the hallways, they both spot a coyote. The coyote snarls at them and they both run into the locker room to hide. Kira's panting and Liv's trying to control her breathing. Liv brings Kira behind her and pushes the lockers down with her unknown strength. Liv turns to Kira and says, "Are you okay?" Kira nods and then Liv calls her dad to come to the school. Scott's in the locker room making sure Liv's okay. Liv says, "I'm okay. Just a little shaken up. I mean, why was a coyote chasing us?" Stiles come over and says, "I think I might know why." Stiles holds out a baby doll and Scott says, "You took the doll from the car?" Stiles says, "Yeah, I thought you could use it, you know, for like her scent." Mr. Tate says, "Where did you get that? Where did you find this? It belonged to my daughter." Stiles and Liv's dad says, "Mr. Tate, I don't know how you heard about this. If you got your own police scanner or what... But you can't be here." As their dad is pushing Mr. Tate out, he feels something and pushes his jacket away to reveal a gun and Mr. Tate says, "I have a permit." Their dad says, "California schools are gun free zones permit or no permit. You need to leave, Mr. Tate. Now." Mr. Tate says, "You find that animal. You find that thing." Later, at the animal clinic, Deaton says, "Xylazine. It's a tranquilizer for horses. For a werecoyote, expect it to work within seconds. I only have three. So whoever's shooting, needs to be a damn good shot." Scott says, "Allison's a perfect shot." Isaac says, "She used to be. Liv, why don't you do it." Liv and Scott both frown for different reasons. Liv's frowning at Isaac, because he's wondering why he would say that and Scott's frowning at Isaac, because how would he know that Liv can shoot. Liv says, "Are you kidding? I don't have any experience." Isaac smirks and says, "That's not what I saw the other day," Isaac smirks as he smells Scott's jealousy. Liv rolls her eyes at Isaac and confidently says, "Allison can do it." Isaac says, "If we manage to find the thing." Stiles says, " Okay, what's the the point of him? Seriously, I mean, what is his purpose? Aside from the persistent negativity, the flirting, and the scarf? What's up with the scarf anyway? It's 65 degrees out." Isaac rolls his eyes and says, "Look, maybe I'm asking a question no one here wants to ask. How do we turn a coyote back into a girl, when she hasn't been a girl for eight years?" Scott says, "I can do it." Stiles says, "You can?" Scott says, "You guys remember the night that Peter trapped us in the school? In the gym, he was able to make me turn using just his voice. Deucalion did the same thing in the distillery." Deaton says, "This is a werecoyote, Scott. Who knows if it'll even work if you can find someone who can teach you."  Stiles says, "That's why you called Derek first." Scott sighs and says, "Yeah, I could try it on my own. But right now, I'm too scared to even change into just a werewolf." Stiles says, "We need a real Alpha. You know what I mean. An Alpha who can do Alpha things. You know, an Alpha who can get it going. You know, get it..." Liv softly says, "Up. We need an Alpha with experience." Stiles nods and says, "Exactly." Scott says, " Great. I'm an Alpha with performance issues." Deaton says, "Is there anyone else besides Derek who could help?" Isaac says, "I wouldn't trust Peter." Liv says, "What about the twins?" Deaton says, "They're not Alphas anymore. After what Jennifer did, almost killing them? It broke that part of them." Liv says, "Yeah, but what if they know how to do it?" Scott says, "Nobody's seen them for weeks." Liv chews on lip and says, "Well, actually, that's not totally true." Stiles says confused, "What do you mean?" Liv sighs and says, "I mean, me and Lydia have been hanging out." Scott frowns and says, "Hanging out?" Liv says, "Yeah, I literally fifth wheeled, with Lydia and Aiden and Ethan and Danny." Stiles says, "Why are you hanging out with them? You do know that they helped killed Boyd?" Liv frowns and says, "It wasn't there fault and why does it matter I hang out with them?" Stiles yells out, "Because their the bad guys and we shouldn't trust them." Liv scoffs and Scott softly says, "Do you trust them?" Liv sighs and softly says, "I trust them more than Peter." Stiles and Scott both give her disproving looks and Liv sighs. Liv grabs her schoolbag and lifts it on her shoulder and walks towards the exit. Scott says, "Where are you going?" Liv turns to look at Scott with a tight lip smile and says, "I'm going home." Everyone watch's Liv leave. Later, Scott goes to see Liv. Scott knocks on her and Liv says, "Come in." Scott opens her door to find Liv surround by books. Liv looks up to see Scott and softly says, "Hey." Scott has his hands in his pockets and says, "Hey." Liv looks at Scott and says, "You okay?" Scott says, "Are you disappointed in me?" Liv frowns and says, "Why would I be?" Scott says, "Because of earlier, about the twins. I wasn't on your side." Liv says, "I understand why you guys don't trust them, but they can change it just takes a little time." Scott nods and walks over to Liv to see her reading a book in Latin and sees her notes say, "Super strength?"  Scott says, "What are you doing?" Liv says, "Oh, um, I'm doing some research in the Bestiary to find any clues of to what I am. When me and Kira were in the locker room I had some unknown strength when pushing them down. I mean, I'm not exactly that strong. I went back to the locker room to test it out and it was like the strength disappeared because I couldn't push it down." Scott listens intently and says, "Does it say anything?" Liv says, "I haven't found anything. I keep try to call Derek, but he still won't answer. I just have this feeling that somethings happening to have." Scott goes to bring Liv into hug and rubs her back and says, "Everything will be okay." 

The next day, Everyone arrives at the preserve. Liv brings clothes for Malia and Lydia says, "Anyone else think we might be doing more harm than good?" Liv says, "We're trying to keep a father from killing his own daughter." Isaac says, "Actually, we're trying to keep a guy from killing a coyote who is actually his daughter, who we don't know how to change from a coyote back to his daughter." Stiles says, "And again with the not helping." Scott turns to Allison and says, "Did you bring it?" Allison opens her trunk to get the tranq out and then Liv get's on Scott's bike. Scott swerves the bike and Liv and Scott roll off. Scott looks worried at Liv and says, "Are you okay?" Liv nods and looks behind Scott at Malia and Scott follows her gaze and sees Malia. Liv slowly walks to Malia and Malia watches curiously at her. When Scott walks forward Malia growls at Scott and runs away. Scott and Liv chase after her. Liv watch's Scott jump over the car wreck and roar in full wolf form at Malia. Malia then turns back into a human girl. Liv walks up to Malia to give her clothes, since she's naked. Liv turns to Scott in awe and smiles big and says, "You did it Scott."
