Chapter 15: Galvanize

Liv gets off Scott's bike and Scott turns to Liv and says, "Did you know they were coming back to school?" Liv turns to the twins with confusion and says, "No, I didn't." Scott nods and grabs Liv's hand and walks over to them. Scott says, "You're back in school?" Ethan says, "No, just to talk." Stiles walks over and says, "Oh. That's kind of a change of pace for you guys. Usually, you're just hurting, maiming, and killing." Ethan says, "You need a pack. We need an Alpha." Stiles says, "Yeah. Absolutely not. That's hilarious thought." Aiden says, "You came to us for help. We helped." Stiles says, "You beat beat his face into a bloody pulp. That's not helping. In my opinion, that's actually counter productive." Scott says, "Why would I say yes?" Ethan says, "We'd add strength. We'd make you more powerful. There's no reason to say no." Isaac then walks over and says, "I can think of one. Like the two of you holding Derek's claws while Kali impaled Boyd. In fact, I don't know why we're not impaling them right now." Aiden says, "You wanna try?" Scott stops Isaac and says, "Sorry, but they don't trust you. And neither do I." Scott walks away with his grip on Liv's hand and Liv mouth's I'm sorry to the twins. As Scott, Liv, and Stiles walk into the school. Liv let's go of Scott's hand to go see Kira. Stiles and Scott go to their lockers and Stiles pats Scott's back and says, "Hey, dude, good decision, buddy. Good Alpha decision." Scott says, "I hope so." Stiles says, "No, you know so." Scott leans his head on his locker watching Liv talk with Kira with a smile on his face. Liv's at Kira's locker and Kira says, "Would you want to eat lunch together, I, mean, you don't have to, you can eat with your friends. It's just I eat by myself or with my dad. Sorry I'm rambling." Liv softly laughs and says, "Hey, it's okay. Yes I would love to eat lunch with you. Just text me where and I'll be there." Kira brightly smiles. Stiles notices Scott looking at Liv and Stiles laughs and Scott says, "What?" Stiles says, "You are so in love with Liv. I'm so happy for you. You guy's are seriously the perfect couple. I mean my sister is dating my best friend an Alpha. The apex predator. She could of picked anyone and she chose you." Scott smiles brightly and says, "Yeah, our love makes are relationship stronger." Stiles sighs and says, "I wish I had that." Scott face softens and says, "You will one day." Stiles nods. Later, at lunch in the library with Liv and Kira. They both get to know each other better. 

Later, Liv's in her room getting to go Kira's, because Mr. Yukimura invited her for dinner. Liv's looking in her mirror seeing if she look's okay. Scott is watching her and can smell her nervousness. Scott says, "Liv, you look amazing. Stop worrying, you'll be fine." Liv says, "I don't know why I'm so nervous, I mean I'm just meeting her parents. I guess, I'm scared their not gonna like me." Scott says, "Their going to like you. What's not to like about you." Liv smiles and softly kisses Scott and softly says, "I love you." Scott smiles and says, "I love you, too." Scott drops Liv off at the Yukimura residence. At the Yukimura residence, Mr. Yukimura says, "Kira. Get ready for dinner. And put on something nice." Kira asks confused, "Why would I need to put on something nice?" The doorbell rings and Mr. Yukimura opens the door and Liv's there with a soft smile on her face and she says, "Surprise!" Mr. Yukimura says, "I invited Liv for what I like to call the "Thank you for saving my daughter from becoming a coyote dinner" dinner." Kira smiles and then runs up stairs to get changed. At the dinner table Mrs. Yukimura says, "So, Liv, I'm sure that as a native Californian, you've eaten at some pretty impressive Japanese sushi restaurants. But I have to tell you that my husband is a superb chef." Mr. Yukimura says, "Okay, we have Hamachi, Uni, Ikura, and Hirame." Liv smiles and uses her chopsticks to eat her sushi and Liv slightly makes face and Mrs. Yukimura says, "Have you not had sushi before?" Liv swallows and says, "I have it's just be awhile and I guess I forgot how it tasted." Kira says, "Oh, my god, guys. We were supposed to have lasagna tonight." Mr. Yukimura says, "I was trying to impress her. I didn't want to bring out the... You know what? I'll make lasagna." Liv says, "Oh, no, no! I just need to keep eating it to see if I remember liking it or not." Liv takes her sushi dips it into wasabi and then take another bite. Liv says, " You know I think I like it more in wasabi." Everyone softly laughs and the then Liv says, "So you guys moved here from New York?" Mrs. Yukimura says, "I have family ties here. Several generations." Liv says, "Yukimura is Japanese, right?" Mrs. Yukimura says, "Mmm-hmm." Mr. Yukimura says, "Yes. Yes, but I'm actually Korean. When my wife and I married, I took her name, as she was the only surviving member of her family." Liv says, "You didn't want to take both names?" Mrs. Yukimura says, "We we're married in Japan, where the law says that the couple must share the same name. To belong to the same Koseki." Mr. Yukimura says, "My wife's lineage is quite unique." Later, Liv's in Kira's room admiring the artwork on her walls and Kira comes in holding pizza. Liz softly smiles and says, "My favorite, no offense to sushi, I just love pizza more." Kira smiles and says, "Yeah, we probably should have started you off with California rolls." They start eating the pizza and Liv says, "I'm sorry, I didn't text you about coming to dinner." Kira smiles and says, "It's okay, I'm glad you met my parents." Liv says, "Can I be honest? I was kind of nervous they weren't going to like me." Kira says, "They like you and they like that I finally made a friend, since they know I struggled with finding one." Liv says, "Once my friends get to know, you'll have more than just me as a friend." Kira smiles and nods. After dinner, Liv says, "Thanks for dinner." Kira says, "For the sushi or the pizza?" Liv says, "Uh... both? Although, I did like the pizza a lot better though." Kira softly laughs. Liv texts Scott she's ready to be picked up and he says he's on his way. Liv says, "My boyfriend's on his way." Kira nods and says, "Okay, I'll just wait out here with you." Liv nods and then Liv blacks out. Liv wakes up to Scott shaking her and he says, "Are you okay?" Liv feels blood on her head and says, "Barrow, he took Kira!" Stiles says, "We know. He was after her the whole time." Scott gets off the phone with Isaac and Liv says, "We have to think of something. He's gonna kill her." Lydia says, "I knew he was there. How did I know that?" Stiles says, "Because you heard the flies, right?" Scott says, "What do you here now?" Lydia says, "Nothing. I feel like I can do this. But I don't know what to do. It's like it's on my tip of my tongue, and I don't know how to trigger it. I just... I swear to god, it literally makes me want to scream." Liv says, "Okay, then scream. Lydia, scream." Lydia screams and Stiles and Liv cover their ears. Lydia says, "It's not flies. It's electricity." Stiles says, "Wait a second, Barrow was an electrical engineer. He worked at a power substation." Liv says, "What substation?" They go save Kira and Liv already got off Scott's bike and Scott yells, "Liv, wait." Liv is already running in. Kira yells, "Liv! No! Look out!" Barrow hits Liv and Liv weakly says, "Stop! She's not the one you want." Barrow tries to kill Kira, but is killed by the process and Liv watches in awe as Kira absorbs the electrical sparks.
