Chapter 2: Chaos Rising

Liv's in Allison's car to go see Scott. Liv is tracing the bruise with a pen. Liv says, "I know I've seen this marking before, I just don't know where." Allison says, "If it's a pattern, it definitely means something." Liv says, "You really think Scott's gonna know what it is?" Allison says, "No, but he might know someone who does." Liv says, "Someone like Derek." Allison says, "Yeah." Liv says, "Maybe this clue is to find Erica and Boyd." Allison smiles sadly at Liv and says, "We'll find them." Liv nods. Later, they arrive to see Scott and get out the car. Scott comes outside and sees Liv and Allison. He looks at Allison and says, "This isn't the talk we we're gonna have, is it?" Allison shakes her head and says, "We need to show you something." Liv and Allison show their arms to Scott and he widens his eyes.

Everyone is on the classroom and Derek says, "I don't see anything." Liv says, "Look again." Derek sighs and says, "How is a bruise gonna tell me where Boyd and Erica are?" Scott says, "It's the same on both sides. Exactly the same." Derek says, "It's nothing." Liv angrily says, "Derek we're trying to help here. This could lead us to Erica and Boyd and your just gonna ignore it." Derek sighs and says, "Okay, I understand Liv your trying to help, but she shot about 30 arrows into me and my pack." Stiles says, "Okay, all right, now come on. No one died, all right? Look, there may have been a little maiming, okay, a little mangling but no death. That's what I call an important distinction." Liv glares at Stiles and Allison softly says, "My mother died." Derek says, "Your family's little honor code killed your mother. Not me." Allison says, "That girl was looking for Scott. I'm here to help him, not you." Derek says, "You wanna help? Find something real." As Derek goes to talk to Scott, Liv turns to Allison and says, "We don't need him. I have a good feeling about this symbol and I know you do too." Allison smiles and says, "Good, then let's go find out why you think this symbol looks familiar." Liv and Allison leave the classroom. Later, in the library with Liv, Allison, and Lydia. Liv is drawing the symbol on her notebook trying to rack her brain of where she's seen this symbol before. Lydia says, "I want one." Allison says, "Which one? And I thought we're finding a distraction for Liv." Liv says, "She wants the straight one and she can have him." Lydia smiles at Liv and says, "Thank you." Liv nods and Lydia gets up to flirt with the straight twin.  Allison says, "I thought you wanted a distraction." Liv says, "I'm in no rush to find a distraction." Allison looks at Lydia's coffee cup and says, "Hey, Liv? What if it's not a symbol?" Allison shows her the coffee cup and Liv realizes and says, "What if it's a logo? Maybe I have seen it somewhere?" Liv then goes on her computer and search's Beacon Hills logos to find the one she's looking for. Liv turns to Allison and says, "They're at Beacon Hills National Bank." Allison smiles at Liv's hopeful face and says, "Then we'll go tomorrow night." Liv looks confused and says, "We? I thought you were retired?" Allison says, "I am, but I'm not letting you go alone." Liv smiles and nods.

The next day, Liv gets out Allison's car and Lydia says, "So mystery girl leaves a bruise on you guys arms, that turns out to be the logo for a bank? What's she trying to do, give us investment advice?" Liv says, "Not at this bank.  It's been closed for years." Lydia says, "Why aren't you telling Scott or Derek?" Allison says, "Because according to someone, we need to find something real. Which reminds me, um, I can't drive you home today. I have an errand to run after school." After School, Allison and Liv break in the abandoned bank. They look around trying to find anything related to Erica and Boyd. They walk down the hallway and are grabbed by Ms. Morrell. The girls both say, "Ms. Morrell?" Ms. Morrell says, "Keep your mouths shut, and listen close. You guys have no idea what you guys just stepped into. Right now you've got to get your ass hidden." Liv says, "What are you doing?" Ms. Morrell says, "Both of you get in that storage closet over there. Lock the door. When you hear the fighting start, that's when you come out." Allison says, "What fighting?" Ms. Morrell says, "You'll hear it. Now, go!" After Ms. Morrell leaves, the girls go into the storage closet. As Allison locks the door, she spills chemicals so the werewolf's don't smell their sent. Liv tries the light switch, but it's not working, so she turns on her flashlight on her phone and gasps. Allison hears Liv's heavy breathing like she's about to start crying. Allison says, "Liv? What's wrong?" Allison looks to where Liv's looking and gasps, where she sees Erica's dead body. Liv softly cries and Allison holds Liv close and rubs her back. Allison and Liv hear fighting and Allison says, "Come on, fights starting." Liv says, "You go, I'm gonna stay here." Allison softly says, "Are you sure?" Liv nods and says, "Go. I wanna be alone with her." Allison nods and says, "Okay, I'll be back for you." Liv nods and Allison leaves. Liv slowly walks over to Erica's dead body and lays her dead body in her lap and sobs. Liv sobs and says, "Oh god. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm gonna miss you so much. I hate myself for not finding you sooner. If I had tried harder, you would still be alive."
