The Twin Jades Older Sister (READER INSERT)

After the conversation outside with Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying, someone came in and told Jiang Fengiman their was an emergency.

Turns out it was Sect Leader Yao, he was on a stretcher with two disciples carrying it. They were all covered in blood.

They explained that they escaped from Qishan, so Wen Sect murdered their entire clan leaving only the three of them.

Jiang Fengiman then explained that the next day, he and Jiang Yanli will be heading to Lanling. Leaving Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng to guard Lotus Pier. While Kainin return to her own sect.

The next day, Kainin left early in the morning so no one would notice. She wanted to inform Lan Y/n about all of this.

-Heian-Kyo-

"Lady Y/n. I have some news." Kainin said bowing down.

Lan Y/n was sitting on her throne, a shadow covered that part of the room and only that part. When Kainin looked up she saw two red Demonic eyes open up.

Kainin knew who was in control, those weren't the eyes of her leader. It was the resentful being inside of her. "What?" The voice from the shadow asked.

Kainin bowed back down. "Sect Leader Jiang has set off to Lanling to hopefully to get the Jin Sect on their side. But Wen Ruohan has set a new order. Go out and eliminate all Sect heirs. I'm afraid that the Lan Sect...." Kainin trailed off.

Her thoughts were broken off when a chuckle came from the being in the shadows, Kainin was confused. Was this funny to her? What part of any of this was funny?

"What do you want me to do about it. Let me tell you something, everyone had thought that Lan Y/n had died. But this vessel of mine is tougher then you think, if she and I go out there. Well they're gonna figure it sooner or later, then we know what happens. Heian-Kyo will once again be massacred by humans, and you know how that feels don't you." She finished off.

"Yes..."

"Oh right no one knows my real name. It's Lanni (蘭尼). But you can just call me R."

The red Demonic eyes then closed, and reopened to be the normal E/c that Kainin was used to.

Lan Y/n then walked down the stairs that led to her throne coming out from the shadows, to reveal her beautiful face.

"Kainin." Lan Y/n said coldly unlike her usual self.

"Yes Lady Y/n?"

"You heard what she said. Especially for everyone already hates spirits. They would plan to destroy this place, if Kuro Seimei ever met the Wens. They would team up, and then all of us would be gone. As much as I want to help them, I can't. I can't risk the safety of Heian-Kyo and everyone with it. But if the Wens figure I have the power of five piece of the Yin Iron, then it will be over." Lan Y/n said as she lowered her head in shame.

She wants to help, but she can't risk the safety of these spirits. They were once human too, she just couldn't do it.

-time skip-

Its only been a couple hours since Lan Y/n made her decision to not help the Cultivation world, but she still felt uneasy. So she went to Seimei for help.

NOTE: Seimei's Chinese Name is 晴明 (QingMing) But I'll use Seimei here so it's easier.

"What should I do Seimei? I don't want to Heian-Kyo Exposed, But I want to help them. But if I do help them and they figure me out, I feel like I betrayed both sides." Lan Y/n says as she hugs her knees.

Seimei looks at her as his gaze softens, he placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Why do you think you betrayed both sides?" Seimei asks softly.

"Because the Cultivation world will say that I faked my own death but didn't come out and reveal myself earlier to help them in this war. But then realize I used resentful energy to do everything, then realize I'm no longer human, they will they find Heian-Kyo and kill all the spirits. Then the spirits will say I betrayed them because I led the humans here." Lan Y/n finished her explanation, burying her face into her knees.

"Why would you ever think that? Did you forget about me? And Hiromasa too? We can also protect Heian-Kyo. This is also our home. Don't take all of responsibilities on your own, otherwise you'll get overwhelmed. So go ahead and help them." Seimei said with a smile.

"Ah! Thank you so much Master Seimei!" With that Lan Y/n headed off to Lotus Pier.

But by the time she arrived it was already night, and the aura of the place is just not right.
As she moved closer to Lotus she could the Qishan Wen Clan flag everywhere, and saw bloodstains on the ground and walls.

She snuck in and what she feared the most became a reality, a massacre had happened. In the main we're the bodies of Madam Yu and Jiang Fengiman.

She then heard noises from behind a wall, she snuck to where the noises were coming from. And she saw Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying, dilated pupils and hand over their mouths.

She tapped them both on the shoulder, they turned around scared. But calmed a bit knowing it wasn't a Wen.

"Y-Your Lan Y/n r-right? Zewu-Jun And Lan Zhan's Older Sister?" Wei Ying asked quietly.

Lan Y/n said nothing but nodded.

"How are you here?! Everyone thought you died?!" Jiang Cheng Quietly yelled.

Lan Y/n then covered their mouths with her hands. "Be quiet. Or they might just hear us. Let's get out of here first then I'll explain everything."

They all nodded as they snuck out of Lotus Pier unnoticed.

They then went find Jiang Yanli and tell her the news, she had to know.

"I don't believe it! I don't!" She yelled as she started to cry.

Lan Y/n then went over and pulled her into a tight hug, as Jiang Yanli cried into her robes. Y/n cradled her head and rubbing her back gently, she then gestures to let Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying also to join the hug.

They hugged her, and she felt like they wanted to cry but wanted to strong. "Cry it out."

With those three words out of her mouth, tears streamed down their faces then onto her robes.

Sitting down in the tall grass, the three younger figures hugged Lan Y/n tight not ever letting go. No one said anything, they all sat there in each other's embrace.

Crying out their emotions.

Until they all fell asleep in the tall grass.
