NOTE: I changed the name of something in the last chapter, it was originally Naijin but I changed to Lanni. Lanni (Rani) is what I call myself but not my actual name in Chinese, but it's also the name of one of my oc's for MDZS/The Untamed. Please do not say I copied someone's else's oc because it's actually mine.
The next morning was when the Wen Clan has entirely taken control of Yunmeng, guards patrolling everywhere looking for the last three survivors.
Lan Y/n has managed to find them temporary shelter for the three of them, Yanli has fallen ill so she had to stay in bed. But they were lucky enough to have Y/n with them.
She had enough knowledge in medicine to know what to do, she didn't have enough herbs with her so Wei Ying went out to buy more.
While her and Jiang Cheng were left to look after Yanli.
Mashing up some of the herbs in the bowl, Jiang Cheng was sitting behind with a blank expression.
"A-Cheng can you grab those leaves?"
The younger snapped out of his trance and handed her the leaves. Y/n patted his head in a loving manner before going back to what she was doing.
But then without her knowing, Jiang Cheng walked out the door.
By the time she noticed, he was already gone.

"A-Jie?" Wei Ying said confused, but seeing Y/n and his Shijie still in the house that confirmed his suspicion.
"A-Ying..."
"Did he?"
"I'm afraid he has. I'll go after him, you look after Yanli."
"No! If they see you they'll realize who are! I'll go look for him, you look after Shijie." Wei Ying said back.
"But, A-Ying"
"Please." He hugged the taller female again.
"I can't lose the person that helped us."
"Alright. I'll transfer her to Lanling. You be careful, find us soon as you can."
"I will. Thank JieJie."
