THE STARS glistened as the air was sharp and the sky was dark. i loved nights like these, the energy in life brings me comfort.

"are you cold?" ruel questioned as his eyebrows furrowed and his voice had a rasp in it.

"im alright" i said while rubbing my arms to keep warmth.

"here" he said while he placed his long hoodie over my head.

"you know this is very hard for me when you arent putting your arms through the holes" he said with a small laugh.

"im sorry" i said with a big smile on my face while looking up at him to meet his eyes.

"ruel, you know you can have your hoodie if you want. i really dont want you to be cold." i stated while looking in his eyes, that i could oh so ever get lost in.

"well flower, you know if i wanted it, i probably wouldnt have offered it up to you." he said with a smile as he moved a strand of my hair out of my face.

"you give me your hoodies too much" i said, interupting the silence.

"well youre just never prepared" he said in a teasing mannor.

thats how me and him met, he was a nice stranger who offered their hoodie to another, very cold stranger. but as we lye here, on the ground looking at the stars, i never want this feeling to end. his company brings me comfort, he makes me feel never alone, he made me know that i always had someone by my side. i cannot fatham how another human could make me feel this way, but somehow he did it, ruel did it.

as i sat on my bed, staring at the stars throughout my window i couldnt help but to wonder which one of the stars was graceys. i always believed that when one passed, they get a star. thats why i love looking at the stars so much, they comfort me. i like to belive that graceys star follows me. even though i will never get to know which one is for sure hers, i like to believe that her star is always above me, no matter where i am, she will always be there. the peace got interrupted when i heard three knocks on my door. i was expecting it to be maeve because coco wasn't at the house right now and ruel has his own signature knock, but it was ruel. he slowly opened my door and peaked his head in.

"oh im sorry i thought you were asleep" he whispered.

"its okay" i mumbled.

"well me and maeve were going to go watch a movie down stairs and we both thought youd like it if we invited you, so youre welcome to join." he said with a sympathetic look on his face.

"yeah sure" i said with a crack in my voice.

i dont know why im agreeing to go downstairs and watch this movie with them, but the yes answer just spilled out of my mouth i couldnt even process what i was agreeing to.

"okay awesome, we're gonna start the movie in like 5 minutes, maeve is picking it out, but im going to pick out the snacks, you can pick out the blankets." he said with a smile while carefully shutting my door.

as i got up from my bed i could hear the crack in my knees as i stepped. my window was slightly cracked open and i could feel the crisp air trickle against my skin. i already knew which blanket i wanted so i made sure to snatch it out of the hall closet before i chose some random ones for maeve and ruel.

when i sat down on the couch, far away from both of them, i handed them their blankets. the movie that maeve chose was 10 things i hate about you. me and ruels movie.

maybe this whole movie thing wasn't a good idea? maybe i should've just declined the offer and stayed in my bed. but here i am. watching the movie that i oh so once loved, with the boy that i also, oh so once loved.

hi to all who have read this! i disappeared for a month then popped back up, like i seemingly always do lol. i actually wrote this draft almost two months ago but decided to finish writing it and post it today, so i hope everyone enjoyed!! well anyways have a great day/night or afternoon, or just have a good whatever time of day it is :)
